What a gem this stop is! The history here is so fascinating to me and I could have listened to their stories all day. Great atmosphere, variety of fun gifts and souvenirs. And the decor, inside and out, was amazing! Took lots of pictures. My whole family loved it, especially the kids and all the Cars movie inspiration. Thank you!😊

Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is one of our favorite places to shop for souvenirs on Route 66. The store is run by the relatives of Angel Delgadillo. We had a long conversation with them about their father and the history of the store, Seligman, and his impact on Route 66.This is a fantastic store. it's a great place to look around, especially Angel's Barber Shop. There are great shirts, magnets, hats, etc.Later on that evening, we happened to meet Angel, who was out on his daily walks. We both had a fantastic conversation, and he showed me where the original alignment of Route 66 was, and we walked over to his pool hall. Thus was quite the experience, and I will always remember the kindness of his daughters and the history lesson from Angel.

A must-stop on Route 66. Angel and Vilma’s family clearly has the same lovely spirit. Take your time to read the family’s history on the windows and inside. It’s not just a gift shop, it’s an inspiration. I look forward to this place every rt66 trip!

If you love Americana, Disney's Cars or anything Rt. 66, Angel & Vilma's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is a MUST see! Our family traveled the entire Rt.66 from Albuquerque, NM to Needles, CA and this was by far our favorite stop. Angel's son in-law Mauricio greeted us when we walked in, asked where we were from and invited us to explore all around the store. While some stops on 66 would not speak to us, and acted like our even being there was a bother, Mauricio made us feel at home and welcomed. He loved that our family respected and loved the magic, beauty and nostalgia of the old Mother Road. All of that past and present American greatness has been persevered in this classic family fun shop on 66. Our family first found out about this gem while searching for Rt.66 content on YouTube. We found Justin Scared's RandomLand channel that showcased this American Icon and we knew we had to visit. I will include a few pictures, but nothing does this slice of American pie justice like actually stepping back in time and meeting Mirna, Clarissa and Mauricio! I want to say Thank You to the entire Delgadillo family for welcoming my family and for preserving an iconic moment in Great American History. So jump in the family Truckster, put on "Get Your Kicks On Rt. 66", and head down the Mother Road to Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop!!!

This place is the heart and the history of the whole Route 66. A must-visit place when you travel along the Mother Road. Make sure to reserve some time in your calendar to enter inside and enjoy the whole atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

Some of the nicest people on Earth. They showed us the barber shop and pointed out some of the attractions of the town. The ceiling is full of police patches and bills from all over the world.

Lots of odds and ends here. Owner was friendly and happy to see visitors visiting the gift shop and it's a perfect opportunity to take pictures of the barbershop. Lots of goodies and souvenirs here! Come support this establishment when in the area!

Wow what an experience, so much history. This shop is very special & a must stop if your into old Route 66. It all starts here and how the last remainder of the hi way was saved and turned into a historic drive. Hector (hope that's right) shared so much history of Angel the Barber and how it all came together. Many of the items including shirts are USA made as well. Take the time and get off the main highway, get a map and take a drive down history lane. Were glad we did! The Pixar film Cars was based from this town.

The true and authentic Historic Route 66 experience! Boight some souvenirs there and the staff was so friendly! Had a great chat with them and was really surprised, that they had a leaflet about the history in Czech :)

This place is overflowing with joy, helpfulness and kindness. It is really amazing, although came from Poland really felt like home. It was honour to meet you. Thank you for keeping it alive! Best wishes, Konrad & Teo - Tow Mater fans (wanted to say this in person, but my son was so pumped for puzzle we bought in Your place we had to leave immediately).

I love this historic place! The fact that Angel has maintained this piece of history for generations to come is amazing. I hope I get a chance to go back sometime. It’s somewhere cool that everyone should experience at least once. Just really cool!

The birthplace of Route 66! Extremely helpful staff and a wide range of good quality souvenirs. An absolute must visit on Route 66!

This is a big piece of American history and you MUST stop here! We decided to take the iconic route 66 from Vegas all the way to the Grand Canyon and what a journey it was. This place was awesome and we learned so much how this shop and the owner some long years ago started a coalition to keep the route relevant for travelers. We had the pleasure of meeting Carly who was absolutely terrific. She talked to us for about 20 mins on everything involving the history of the route, what other sites to see and just gave us the all around genuine experience we were hoping for. Shes incredible this shop is incredible and the whole route is incredible. Don’t be a stranger come check this place out!

The Planes of Fame Air Museum in Arizona offers a unique experience for aviation enthusiasts. Visitors can see a variety of aircraft up close, including ones with personal significance like those from specific military squadrons. The tram tour provides informative insights about each aircraft, and visitors can also explore further on foot. It's a great place to visit with family and friends who share an interest in aviation history.
Officially closed, Thank God we met Jeff outside and with Larry, he gave us a great tour. They let us go into several planes and had patience for all of our questions. Highly advised. They plan on opening it up for official tours starting this summer.(To note, it's a great way to break up your drive from Flagstaff to the Grand canyon)

Went today, it says closed but Mike saw us taking pictures outside and was nice enough to let us in and give us the tour. They give tours but plan to open in full in the summer. Great place!

My first time to the planes of Fame Museum in Arizona. Saw quite a few aircraft that I've never seen up close before. But I never expected to see a aircraft with 3rd Marine Air Wing markings where I was stationed right next to a A7 Corsair with tail markings from my brother's Squadron in China Lake. What a coincidence to have two aircraft side by side one for my brother's Squadron one from my Squadron when we were in the service 30 years ago. Take the tram tour as the guys are very helpful and informational on every aircraft that we asked about. And if you see one that catches your eye after you get off the tram you can walk over to it for closer inspection. I cannot wait to take my grandkids there along with my brother and show him the two aircraft sitting side-by-side from our squadrons.

The Grand Canyon Railway offers a casual restaurant and a cozy pub. The train whistle can be heard in the morning air as guests hop on board for an event-filled journey to the Grand Canyon. Singing along with musicians, participants in an enactment of an Old West train robbery can enjoy the antics of western characters while travelling to one of the world's true wonders.
Love all the grand canyon paintings, a suitable hotel for the town. Everyone is very friendly. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning!I don't know if it was just our room, but the hot and cold were backwards in our shower. We figured it out but there was a moment of "oh no, no hot water" 😂

We came here for the Polar Express package that they offer, and it is an experience of a lifetime. The place is beautiful. It's as if I stepped back in time. The hotel is beautiful and cozy. The service is impeccable, and the train ride is amazing. They made it feel like we were in the movie. The staff are wonderful, very energetic and great with the kids. The kids were excited to go to the Northpole and meet Santa Claus. Thank you for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back again.

The web site does not do it real justice, it’s actually much nicer. I absolutely loved our stay. It started with our reservations, the level of service was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The front counter ladies were warm and It felt like coming home, instead of checking into a hotel. The place was immaculate and very clean. The fireplace in the lobby felt more like a home than in a large greeting area. The grounds were very clean and very well managed. They had just started to put up Christmas decorations so it was magical for us.

We were on our way home from Utah and we enjoy the mountain, small town vibe of Williams so we stopped for one night. We hadn't ever stayed here so we thought we'd give it a try. The hotel is nice, the room was clean but basic. In our opinion, the price in October of $180/nt was a bit pricey. There are two restaurants on site which was a nice convenience but the town itself has some great restaurants and only a short walk away, for most able bodied people. We ate at Spenser's for dinner but it's a bit pricey. However I do have to rave about Miguel, our server, he was excellent and so friendly! We had the breakfast buffet at Fred Harvey's and it was pretty good for $38. The choices of hot oatmeal, yogurt with sides, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns, french toast, pancakes & an omelette bar were sufficient for variety! Another rave, Angie checked us in at the restaurant, she was so friendly with a side dose of humor! Tiffany was our table hostess and again, so friendly and and excellent server! The restaurant was about ready to close and we ended up having some great conversation with both of them. Whoever does the hiring for the restaurant has great judgment of character and chose well with these two kind ladies! We would come back & stay if the price was a bit less. Considering that most people are staying here to ride the train to the Grand Canyon, the hotel price is a bit steep along with the train trip. We didn't do the train trip this time around.

We stayed in the RV park across. Great location and clean showers. Men’s room had some plumbing issue that left only one functioning toilet for a day.Did the train to the canyon and spent a very relaxing time. We have driven through the park before, but never went west toward the Verkamp’s visitor center and the vista points there. The free canyon shuttle let us get around to the Market deli where we had reasonably priced lunch. The Cataract creek gang and Marshal and musicians on the train was an unexpected bonus.

If you are planning on taking the train to the Grand Canyon you must stay at the Hotel. We purchased a package deal for two nights, updated trains seats. This included all food at the Fred Harvey's buffet for all breakfast and dinners for our stay. Makes your stay relaxing that you don't have to worry about where to get food. Hotel was super clean, rooms the same. Indoor pool is available. Train ride is a destination ride. What I mean is the landscape of Arizona here is all the same. Beautiful but it does not change until you get close to the canyon. I would recommend upgrading your seats, we sat in the upper observation seats. Nice and comfortable and the car provided free water, soda's and assorted treats and pastries. There was also a bar area where you could purchase drinks if needed. Live entertainment was supplied along with a very knowledgeable host for your car. Overall it was a fantastic adventure.

Stayed here for two nights as we were taking the Grand Railway up to the Grand Canyon. The hotel was nice, had large rooms, very clean and quiet. Convenient as the train station is here at the hotel. Really enjoyed this place. Can't wait to come back.

The railroad train from Williams to the grand canyon was an awesome experience. You begin by choosing which class of car that you wish to ride. Once the journey begins the staff assigned to each car informs the passengers about their trip and all the information that they will need while visiting the canyon and makes recommendations to ensure each visitor maximizes their visit and make it back to the train in time. While on the train you'll be entertained by multiple staff and offered refreshments. Hopefully you'll have Craig as your attendant. You'll have 3 hrs to visit the canyon before your 2.25 hr return trip. This is the best way to have a totally enjoyable canyon experience from start to finish. Thanks Craig for making our canyon experience awesome.

Cool location. So much to see here this place needs a few days to explore thoroughly. Rooms are reasonable, nothing fancy. We opted to see the town vs. eat at the hotel we will definitely look into it next time. Like I first mentioned you need a few days of exploration I wanted to do the train but didn't have the proper time to do it looked into it after we were here. Lots of history as well. Parking is really easy if you have a large rig, camper, or just a mess in tow you'll be fine. I didn't even put my stuff in off our luggage rack and not a thing was touched. You'll be close to anything and if your in town obviously visit the Grand Canyon, 1 hour north. As for the town it's nice and small with everything and everyone in the general area. If your passing through staying the weekend or staying the week you'll be entertained and pleased.

Stayed at the RV Park, took the train to the Grand Canyon. Had a great time, folks on the train were entertaining and always had a smile. The South Rim is spectacular, the weather was great for our trip. Even had a little cowboy show before we boarded.

Great place to pull off the road for a night’s rest! We came in for a couple of nights, we enjoyed the amenities and the location! Such a cool piece of historic Route 66, you’re one block off the strip! Great playground and basketball court. They do have a pool which we didn’t utilize. The office staff was very friendly and had great attitudes! Jessica was very kind and helpful when we asked for a good place to eat. We will definitely be back, it was a great experience!Just to forewarn you, if you have a problem with the sound of trains, the tracks are right behind the RV park, so be prepared to hear some trains and their horns!!

The hotel is in a great location, easy walk to downtown. My gripes with the room started upon entry-my room had a distinctive smell that I am unable to describe. Kind of musty, but not exactly a must smell. I didn’t like it, I know that. The beds could use a topper, they are fairly firm. It would be great if they had a microwave! The grounds are nice, the rest of the hotel and staff were great!

I spent 2 nights at the Railway Hotel in Williams with a train ride to the Grand Canyon. My family and I found the experience most rewarding. The Hotel was very nice and the food at the Harvey Buffet was very enjoyable. We had first class seats on the train and were able to play cards as the northbound excursion was quite rainy. The Canyon was, of course, spectacular as soon as the weather improved. We had wonderful entertainment on the train ride, with snacks and beverages available. The staff was amazingly friendly.A most enjoyable experience.

We spent a week at the RV Park. It is clean and quiet except for the occasional train ( yes, they come through all day and night). We took the Canyon train, which was excellent, and our attendant Aleica was fantastic. She was great at pointing out interesting views as well as serving cocktails. I highly recommend signing up for the bus tour at the Canyon as it is well worth the extra cost. The bus will take you to a couple of great spots for pictures, and you also get a buffet lunch that was pretty good.

Our room and the hotel accommodations were great. Our family stayed multiple nights and it was a very nice resort. If you plan to take the Grand Canyon train into the Grand Canyon, staying here is a must. The front desk staff gave great customer service, and the overall facility was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The indoor pool was large, heated and the hotel's close proximity to downtown Williams made shopping easy and fun.

The hotel was just ok. The bed wasn't comfortable, but the staff was accommodating and helpful. The train ride was very good. Nice 2 hour or so easy train ride into the Grand Canyon National Park. We had good information given to us on the train, snacks and drinks available. Could be a great day trip or stay for longer in the park. If considering going to the Grand Canyon, this was a great way to do it.

We didn't stay here but took the train to and from Grand Canyon. It's a ton of fun but if your car attendant isn't very engaging, the scenery might get old, esp for little ones. Ticketing staff were friendly and helpful, tho didn't make clear how to check our bags as we weren't staying at their hotel. So we cut it close to make the train, even tho we allowed an hour before boarding. We had a rental car and parking was plentiful, we were allowed to leave the car for the nights we'd be staying at the canyon. Before boarding, there's a fun Wild West show. The train itself is clean and surprisingly quiet. Our attendant going was fantastic. She was engaging, animated and informative. Attendant coming back seemed tired and left the car for what seemed like long periods, not checking drinks or removing trash. We did the first class option which includes snacks both ways (alcohol is self pay). Morning snacks were mini Danish and coffee/juice. Coming back was veggies, dip, fruit, cheese, soft drinks. Some surprises on the tracks on the ride back. You can go up on the 930 train and back same day at 330, or stay overnight at the canyon as we did. Everything associated with the park is expensive, so plan accordingly and remember to tip your attendants.

We booked a 2 night stay at the RV park. It was perfect. The amenities were wonderful, nice showers, laundry room; a short walk to the train depot. As for our train experience it was fabulous. Words can’t express how amazing our train car attendant, Alicia was. She has a brilliant spirit and smile. She made everyone on the train feel like we’ve known her forever. She shared stories of her family and experiences with the company. The Grand Canyon Railway Depot offers a unique and enjoyable travel experience to the Grand Canyon. The train ride provides comfortable and clean accommodations with great entertainment, allowing plenty of time to take in the breathtaking views. At the South Rim, there are various accommodation options available for visitors. The return trip features entertaining "robberies" by cowboys stopping the train, adding an element of fun to the journey. Upgrade to first class for even more comfort and excellent service, including complimentary snacks and beverages.
What a great way to visit the Grand Canyon! We've been many times in the past, but wanted a different experience. The Grand Canyon Railway did not disappoint. Upgrade to first class if you can, very comfortable seats and great service! The free snacks, beverages and optional alcoholic beverages, for an extra cost, were great!! The wild West show prior to boarding was entertaining as well. Entertainment on board was fun as well. Bring some $$ for tips!

What can I say about this trip, except that it was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend doing this trip up to the Grand Canyon. We sat in coach, which had ac. If you are not traveling with children, you can do first class and the observation decks. My children enjoyed the ride up and back. Our attendant Anne was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge. They had music and you can also bring your own food and drinks on the train with you. If you didn't bring anything, they have a canteen car that you can buy stuff from. Overall it was a great experience.

Made a last minute decision to take the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon. Happily they had coach class tickets available. The 2 hour ride was relaxing and fun. We had a tour guide who gave us the history of the train and told lots of "dad" jokes. We had musicians entertaining us up and back. The train was "robbed" on the way back to Williams which was hilarious. We spotted several animals - bunnies, prong horn antelope, wild horses, cows, and deer. A photographer comes through on the way up - there is no pressure to have a photo taken. The sears are comfortable; cold water is available in each car, but there is a cafe car. You are allowed to bring your snacks.Be aware that the train is very prompt so arrive early. As they reminded us, the difference between a passenger and hitchhiker is one minute.

It was our first time visiting the Grand Canyon and we decided to take the train ride as it was also our anniversary gift to ourselves. It was so much fun!The depot itself was impressive. The gift shop and ticket booth, where we picked up our prepaid tickets, was beautiful. There's the Fred Harvey restaurant, which if you're not familiar with, is a famous historical restaurant chain from the late 1800's made specifically for train passengers at the time. I wish we had time to explore the Grand Hotel and the whole town of Williams when we returned from our train trip, but we had to get going to the next leg of our trip. We definitely want to come back again and see more of the area. So much history! There is a 15 minute wild west show just before you board the train which takes you to the South Rim, the popular entrance to the Canyon. We picked the Pullman car. We were told by our host, who was hilarious and entertaining, that our car was over 100 years old. My husband and I love history so to us it was great. The seats were so plush and inside it was beautiful. The ride itself was a little over 2 hours and the weather was good. Late September seems to be a good time to go if you want to beat the heat. There's also very talented musicians aboard as well. There's also a Cafe car located conveniently next to our car. It's available both first and return trips. The Grand Canyon took our breath away with all its splendor!!There's so much to see in the three hours you are given once getting off the train. There's the rustic El Tovar hotel. The century old Hopi house which was filled with so many gorgeous indigenous artifacts, jewelry etc available for purchase.Keep in mind, you are at 7,000 elevation level and yes it will get to you after awhile. You will need water and plenty of it like the tour guides recommend!Thankfully there are water fountains and there's a water bottle refill station for free inside the El Tovar hotel.Once back on the train, the host and musicians still kept us entertained and in the last hour there is a staged robbery which you can take part of if you want. It's all in good fun folks! In fact, our host encourages you to make the robbers work for the money. And my husband had a blast in doing so! 😂This train is definitely something everyone should experience! It's a comfortable and fun way to see the Canyon. We highly recommend it 👌

We had a lot of fun taking the train to the Grand Canyon. Train is a bit outdated, but the staff make it a fun experience. The snacks they serve are underwhelming. We took the Verde Canyon train tour 8 months ago and were spoiled with their charcuterie meal that was included with our ticket purchase. The one with Grand Canyon Railway was a buffet style and cheap, to be honest. The crew really make it a great experience so just bring your own snacks. 😊

Great experience! Super fun and a great and relaxing way to get to the Grand Canyon. A bit of a warning, you only get three hours at the Grand Canyon so plan your time wisely! The robbery is such a fun idea but sadly I think someone must have ruined the ability for these folks to surprise the guests so you are told everything that’s going to happen before it does. Still totally fun and the experience is absolutely worth it! Just wish that part was a little different.

Awesome experience! Train ride comes with historic explanations and some good jokes :)My kids thoroughly enjoyed going to the cafe car and grabbing snacks after hiking for 2.5 miles at the Grand Canyon.

This is a great train ride. This is the best way to get to the park and not have to find a place to park. The ride was fun and very entertaining. Our car attendant Aleica was very knowledgeable with not only the scenery but handled all questions concerning the train as well.I would definitely do this again. We were lucky enough to have our train pulled by 101 yr old steam locomotive that just added to the experience. I would also recommend signing up for the additional bus tour as well.

If you’ve never been on a steam train, you have to book a ticket. 100% worth every single penny! Had an amazing experience on the train, went to the Grand Canyon in the Luxury Parlor, came back in the Observation Dome. You do have access to both but I would do the same. One on the way up one on the way back. It is worth every penny. Going to the very back of the train was amazing, watching the tracks and the world whip by on the Luxury Parlor was one of my favorite moments. Hanging out in the Observation Dome on the way back was just so relaxing. I really recommend paying extra. Snacks are okay, if you are really hungry bring something. Bathroom in the luxury parlor is huge. Over all great experience. Staff is fantastic, you get a champagne toast on the way back. Can’t recommend this experience enough. Beats driving! You’ll get some great pics on the back of the train!

Overall, I can't recommend this train ride enough! I've been to the Grand Canyon a lot but this is the most fun way to visit. I'll go through some details below if you're interested but, whether you're traveling with kids, or are a couple looking to have fun on your way to the Grand Canyon, this is for you!To start, huge shoutout to Johnny & Sierra from Coach B! They were a blast. I particularly appreciated the history Johnny shared with us throughout the trip. I know each attendant has their own talking points, so you may not get the same experience I did, but I hope you'll get something just as insightful and fun! Some of the other entertainment you can expect includes live music, meet and greet with the sheriff, various sightings along the ride, and on your way back to the station in Williams, a train robbery! Our little gal is too small to fully appreciate all of it but she still seemed to enjoy herself and was happy for the more than 4 hours of train ride, so there's something to say about that! One recommendation is to have some cash. I know most of us don't carry much cash on a regular basis anymore but, it's good to have for a few tips throughout the ride. I maybe did a little more than others as I spent about $75 in tips for the various entertainers, snack cart, the robbery, and the attendants. A mix of $1s, $5s, and $10s worked well. The snack cart on board has a great variety of snacks, regular beverages, and adult beverages. I didn't partake in this but it was great to see some of the local brews on board. Important to note that the snack cart is credit card only.Once you get to the Grand Canyon, you'll have 4ish hours to look around. Since we've been there multiple times before, we were not trying to rush and get to anything in particular. We had plenty of time to get lunch, walk to the arch on the Bright Angel Trail, visit Verkamp's Visitors Center, and visit some of the shops between El Tovar and the Bright Angel Trailhead. If this is your first time, I think the walk to the arch along Bright Angel Trail is the best thing to do. Gives you a great feel for the canyon! As you'll hear several times on the way into the Grand Canyon, do not be late for the train ride back to Williams. It is a very expensive Uber back to Williams!! Luckily, most people make it back from what we heard but there have been people left behind before. They have a strict schedule because of other trains that use the line.Well, if you made it this far, I hope you feel that you have some valuable tips for when you visit! Enjoy!! 🙌PS - We heard great things from others on board about the Polar Express. We may come back up and visit in the winter. 🥶

What a great experience! Traveled coach north and south and it was comfortable and clean. The entertainment was great and still left plenty of time to just enjoy the ride and views. The Grand Canyon at the South Rim was spectacular and there is a lot available at the South Rim as far as accommodations. The train ride back was super fun as we got "robbed" by the cowboys who stop the train. Easy to get on and off the train, friendly staff and beautiful views! Definitely worth doing again. Plus major bonus, going on Earth Day it had the steam engine and there were no park entrance fees!

It was an unforgettable experience for our family. Especially for my son, who has always had a fascination for trains. I loved the presentations, and the staff always had a good attitude and smile. I recommend it!

This is a great experience and should be on everybody's bucket list-- including The Polar Express. We chose to go first class on the way to GC and dome for the return trip. FC car hostess was Nancy and what a sweetheart, informative, and very attentive! Return trip dome car hostess was Maryellen, and we were graced with her presence, truly blessed. The train robbers were hilarious! The singers were awesome!! No motion sickness, which was a personal worry. GC was incredible, weather was beautiful. If I could give the railroad more stars, I would!!

I highly recommend the Grand Canyon railway ride into the Grand Canyon. This is a very nice and relaxing 2-hour scenic ride. Very nice ride for families with kids or even just couples. They accommodate you with free snacks and food for the ride there and back. Of course alcohol drinks you have pay for which is still worth it. They drop u off at south rim and u have 3 hours to explore before the train leaves, which is plenty of time. Make sure u are on time leaving or u will have to wait till tomorrow. There's only 1 train in and 1 train out each day. I would highly recommend this to any family or couple thinking about visiting the Grand Canyon it's definitely worth the whole experience.

A great adventure. Took the train to the Grand Canyon Saturday morning Rob and Summer took great care of us and were so entertaining. We traveled back Sunday afternoon Rob and Kinga hosted out trip back and again took great care of us and made sure we were entertained. The scenery was beautiful especially with the snow. Would definitely take this trip again.

Bearizona Wildlife Park is a safari park located off Route 66 in Williams, Arizona. The park consists of a 3 mile drive thru and Fort Beari more. Visitors can see different types of wildlife including wolves, bears, bison, mountain goats and more.
Had a blast on Friday morning. Not too many cars and we were able to take our time through the park. We got to see all the animals actively roaming and the kids had a blast. The bears were extra playful and the kids were so excited to see them. Highly recommend!

It was awesome. Everyone was extremely helpful, kind, and friendly. The place has an amazing vibe, and you never want to leave. We also participated in the After Party. That was a complete blast, and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back. The park is also 100% wheelchair accessible, even the petting zoo area. You don't want to miss out. Make sure you go for a visit!

I have been here 3 times. Love that you can do the drive through as many times as you like. The walk through is nice and shady. The staff are wonderful. The food in the Cafe was a bit pricey but good. Will be back for sure.

What a wonderful place to visit. Driving through the park and being so close to the animals was great. They did not seem to be bothered by the cars and had a lot of room to roam. Don't forget to look up in the trees for the bears. After the drive-thru, you walk in another area to see more animals and feed the otters. There's a nice restaurant and gift shop. Definitely worth the stop. Five stars!
Tracey S — Google review
This was an amazing experience. We enjoyed the drive through (we went twice) as well as the walk through. The animal enclosures were unbelievable. There was a wide variety of animals to see. The playful bears were a huge hit with the entire family. I wish all zoos built such large and appropriate enclosures. We visited the gift shop as well as the restaurant.I highly recommend this family friendly venue!

We had such a great time here. It was a great stop on the way from the Grand Canyon. The facility is clean, and the animals have such a big inclosure. It was so cool to see the animals so close, and often felt like we were out in the wild while viewing from the car. Workers were all so friendly and informative.

Beautiful wildlife park. My kids really loved seeing all the animals up close during the drive and walk through area. I loved how active all the animals were, especially the raccoons and foxes. The gift shop had a lot of fun items to purchase. My kids picked out Bearizona themed baseballs and I got a variety of cute stickers. We will definitely be back again soon.

We had an amazing experience. It was as close to nature as you can get, comfortably. My kids, toddlers to teens, all had a great time. We went on a Tuesdays afternoon around 2pm and there was a nice size crowd, not loaded, not empty. We had enough space to see all the exciting moments. We got to see the bears sleeping in a cave at the exhibit and then they were called to lunch. It was awesome. We were a foot away from them, watching them breathe.I didn't want to take any smelly food into the park, to attract the animals to close to our vehicle. We purchased nachos for $5 and chicken tenders for $10. It was a good deal and the food was good for what it was.
Jenny G — Google review
Bearizona is so cute! The admission price covers the drive through and walk through areas, both of which we enjoyed. The drive through animals could be a little hard to spot at times, even going early in the morning when we figured they'd be out eating. The walk through area was especially fun, with a better view from right outside the enclosures and a decent lunch at the restaurant.
Samantha S — Google review
Love this place. I've gotten to see how the bears interact in the real outdoors! They really scratch themselves on trees and climb them really high and they run super fast! How are they not scared!? This is a very nice place to go see all the animals up close and personal. The kids will love it and so will you!
Ninjita01 — Google review
Wow we loved Bearizona! Our group of 3 adults and we had a great time driving through the park and walking around. We went on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to feed the grizzlies, loved watching the otters and jaguars. The jaguars were mesmerizing to watch, they really were awake later in the evening. So cool how they are brothers. Awesome that you can have a beer and walk around. We drove through twice, it’s unlimited how many times you can drive and walk around. Such an awesome and fun place to check out

What an amazing place! Visited with girlfriends on a beautiful Fall day and it was not crowded. Saw so many animals. First we did the drive around, amazing! Then we did the mini zoo (which I was not excited about, but we saw So Many More animals than I’ve ever seen at another zoo). They had a petting area — first time ever petting a turkey, his name is Tom. They also had a live show, featuring hawks. Can’t wait to return with my grandson. A great place for both kids and adults. Highly recommend.

This place did not disappoint! My husband and I wanted to re-visit this location since it had been many years since our last visit. We both said that we would come back again the next time we came to town. Great day with wonderful staff and amazing animals. Oh and the price of admission was excellent! I highly recommend to ALL ages.
Kristi M — Google review
It was a cool place to see for sure but it was $30 per adult just for one vehicle. It’s a drive through zoo but a zoo is cheaper. Some of the animals were far away or hard to see not doing much but the bears were definitely cool. They were in front of the cars and in the water. The gift shop was huge with lots of stuff but when you get done driving through they have more to see just like a zoo but we went to see the otters and they weren’t out to see and then we kinda lost ambition to see much else. We believe it’s $16 per child 12 and under. It was cool but just not necessary worth so much for just driving through with your car.
Bridget S — Google review
An awesome spot to take your family/kids. Part of the park is a drive-through style zoo with animals just outside of your vehicle. The other portion is like a neat zoo with different attractions and concessions. Decent beer too. They also have a gift shop. The coolest zoo I’ve ever been to. I would recommend this place to anyone. One of the coolest places in all of Arizona hands-down.
Wes — Google review
Bearizona was an awesome experience. The park is beautiful and so clean. We saw so many animals up close and personal. The grizzly bears were definitely a highlight but all the animals were great. We went right at opening when the bears were active, later in the day most were resting in the shade. The up close encounters at the “Central Park” were also fun and the staff is very knowledgeable. Definitely would recommend a visit if you are in Williams!
Lori S — Google review
We had a blast at Bearizona! I definitely recommend going in the morning before the crowds start showing up, especially if you're going during the weekend. All of the animals during the driving segment were fairly active, especially the wolves that came right up to the car at one point and a baby bison who was staring down the car only a few feet away. Some of the areas have a loop that you can take to go back around to the start of that given section if you want to experience it again which was nice. The walking segment was also quite nice with a fair selection of different animals. We liked the grizzly bears the most, mostly because we got there in time for their behind the scenes feeding (free of charge) but I also loved seeing the otters and the badger. They have a very large gift shop so you can find just about anything imaginable there. And the staff were all very friendly. My only minor gripe is that the price was a bit high for my liking, but I understand that zoos can be quite costly to run. Regardless, it's worth a visit at least once in your life.
Cody P — Google review
Couldn’t have had a better time. For going in August all the animals were out (mind you it was overcast and rained at one point). Can’t wait to go when it’s got some snow for a different visual. Went around the park twice and did the walking tour all in about 4hrs. Wonderful experience and will be going back 10000%

Stopped by on a Thursday morning and it was amazing. The weather was nice and all the animals were out. This is one of my favorite Zoos that I've been to. The kids had a blast with the behind the scenes, bear encounters, and the feeding of otters. The exibits and scenery were top-notch and can't wait to go back.

It was beautiful and well worth your money. I loved all of the unique animals I saw, and the staff were so nice. The animals are so close when you are driving through the park. It's amazing seeing them in their natural habitat. If you need a break in nature, I would 100% recommend going here.
Faith P — Google review
Very cool way of viewing animals. Firstly, you drive your own vehicle going through half of the park to see wolves, burro and bears etc. Then you park your vehicle at parking lots, and then you can walk around at the other half of the park to see many kinds of adorable animals. For example, raccoons, badges and beavers. And if you are lucky enough, you can see some animals doing some interesting things lol. In conclusion, it is a great place for everyone to visit, especially families who have children. I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends!
Jim L — Google review
We drove 3 hours to come here and it was so worth it! My kids had a blast— my husband and I enjoyed it as well. We arrived late in the afternoon and most of the animals were out and about. I also loved that all of the animals looked well taken care of. We will definitely come back :).
Ashley M — Google review
Have always wanted to stop by this place since it opened being a native Arizonan. Finally had the chance to stop by and take our little one on the nature drive and to walk around and check out the baby animals. It was a nice surprise to get to feed the bears for the 4 o’clock feeding. Wish we were there a little earlier to enjoy some of the concessions while there but I was there to see the animals not the snacks. Can’t wait to go back and see how big the babies have gotten and the many more animals Bearizona has to offer.
Blake W — Google review
This place is awesome!! So great for families, kiddos and animal lovers. We had a great time. It even rained!! Such a cool bonus. Animals all appear well kept. Little pricey, but I understand it's very expensive to keep a place like this going. We're absolutely going back.

Tons of fun for sure! Excellent drive through Wild Animal Zoo with very active animals that literally walked around the truck. Also, excellent walking zoo area with lots of younger animals to see very close up. The staff is super nice, and the animal care folks are amazing to talk to as they interact with the animals. Great food at the restaurant and a really nice gift shop as well. Will definitely be coming back for another visit with the rest of my family.

Beautiful lake with a hiking trail. I am lucky to come here in winter so there is reflection of both ice and rock.

One of the most beautiful lakes I've ever visited. Tucked away just outside of Prescott Arizona it is definitely a hidden jewel. The layers of rocks surrounding the lake are absolutely gorgeous. It's almost like going back in time. The photo opportunities are many. The water reflections of the hillside's, rocks, and beautiful blue sky and clouds make for phenomenal photos. We live in San Diego but we make it a point whenever visiting Arizona or Phoenix, we make the drive up to Prescott

We had 25 of us kayaking and paddle boarding. The lake is a good size. There's a bunch of trees at one end and a couple of big random shade trees. Easy in & out from North or south end and a couple of ramadas around to stop for a break as well.

Went kayaking for an hour. The first time slot at 8 am I believe is the best time to go. The birds are out and you can see cows on the mountain. We saw an Eagle. Beautiful boulder of rocks and fish. Wasn't hot and a good little work out on your arms and core. Good price for the hour. You can tandem or solo.

Beautiful man made lake. The rock formations with the surrounding water makes for some beautiful views and photography. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, some nice fun trails. There’s also some picnic areas and nice clean bathrooms. I also saw they have a frisbee golf course. Only $2 to get into the park, which is a great deal. I’d highly recommend for fishing, hiking, kayaking (they have rentals onsite) picnics, family gatherings, etc. I also saw a kids playground. Great place to check out if you’re in Prescott!

Watson Lake in Prescott is a beautiful spot to visit! The entrance fee is very affordable at just $3 per car, and there’s plenty of parking available. The bathrooms are very clean, and the kayaking rentals make for a fun activity with stunning scenery. The only downside was the abundance of seaweed in the water, which made kayaking a bit challenging. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy nature and spend a day outdoors

Great Lake and Park outside of Prescott, AZ. Great trails that run the perimeter of the lake. Great views on the trail. Peaceful no wake lake. Perfect spot to kayak. The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk. So, Enjoy !!!

Beautiful lake and fun terrain for hiking. We had a lot of fun doing the loop trail around the lake. Definitely want to hike the trail clockwise. This way you do the boulders and elevation changes first and then finish the hike with a casual stroll on a flat bike path.

This lake and the surroundings are gorgeous, unique, and offer lots of activities. There are several hiking trails around and among the rocks. Just follow the white dots painted on the rocks along the trails. The view is spectacular. There are kayak rentals available, small sailboats, or you can bring your own. The entrance fee is $3 per car. There is a small playground for kids, benches all around the lake, and a grassy area to bring your blanket and have a picnic on. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Arizona. Don't miss it if you're in the Prescott area.

A favorite for the beautiful lake views and scenery with diverse hiking trails (that aren't just dirt paths) and even waterfalls!Hike around the lake down to the other side of the dam took about an hour on the Watson Lake and Flume Trail.Trail includes areas which require some minor climbing.Large open green in park area provides perfect opportunity for field games. There is also a playground and restrooms as well as gazebos and picnic tables scattered about park.As others mentioned - entry is free on Wednesdays, otherwise $6/ vehicle.Only negative comment is that the stench coming off the lake, while at water level and down wind, was not pleasant, but odor was no longer detectable once climbing.

Tuzigoot National Monument is an ancient hilltop pueblo showcasing the ruins of Sinaguan Indians. It features a nearby visitor center with artifacts from that era. Visitors are allowed to hike around the ruins and explore one of the rooms to observe how Native Americans constructed their dwellings with thick ceilings. The trails are well-maintained, picnic areas are available, and the museum provides excellent insights into the history of the area. The gift shop offers a good selection, and staff members are friendly.
Tuzigoot is a well preserved ruins of the Native American people. They allow people to take an approximate 1 mile hike around the ruins, and even walk through one of the rooms. This allows people to see how they native Americans used to build their rooms and how thick the ceilings are. They have also marked some of the areas so you know what it is.The trails are clean, there are several picnic areas, and the museum is superb, well done and very clean. Their store is well stocked for its location, and the staff are extremely nice.I would definitely recommend a visit here if you would like to see a little of our heritage.

this place has quite an interesting history and beautiful architecture. I loved how well preserved all of the buildings were. Only downside is that it was very very hot even though we got there as early as we could. The ground was too hot for our dog to walk on so we had to bring her home. Overall a quick walk through and a small museum at the front. I liked this place but it’s not a must-see.

It is a short walk from the Visitors Center to the ruins. We were lucky during our visit as one of the Rangers was there on the site. He provided an indepth review of what happened here and also how they rebuilt most of the dwellings. It is mostly just the outer walls, but you can imagine how everything would have looked. It is amazing that they left behind so many grinding stones. You will see these at other sites as well. You can actually go inside as some of the upper structure was redone. Once inside, go up some stairs for a great overview of area.

Please stay on the marked trail it will lead you into the monument to a ladder to climb up.We purchased the pass online so there was no hassle just showed the receipt. Beautiful area lots of picture opportunities. Bring water, wear sunblock and protective clothing.

Very cool, especially to find out the it looked like any other hill in the area until they started digging and found the walls of the dwellings! Wonderfully informative ranger at the top of the main big build, pointed out so many crazy and neat facts and how they lived...access was all ladders!!! Great breeze, nice walk down to the grassland area too.

We visited on Friday morning, which was a perfect time to see this extraordinary monument. The museum offers an excellent orientation to what you see on the short hike. There are examples of pottery, textiles, tools, and other items of daily life dating back to 900 to 1300 CE. I was really taken with the displays about body, painting and jewelry. I found that information really relatable and relevant in today’s world when we think about how we treat our own bodies. Visiting the site was a real treat and I enjoy the opportunity to see the valley from lots of different perspectives. There were workers, repairing and rebuilding walls in real time, which was pretty neat to see.

This place was very cool. I hope they can keep it preserved for years to come. Don't skip the museum inside for history. And get your national park stamp! There was a baby rattlesnake. So be careful with animals and kids.

I love that it was a family oriented show. A couple favorite things were that the meal was fabulous but before we ate it, we were given time to have silence to do our own prayer over our food.I enjoyed all of the show, especially the ghost Rider.Another favorite was in the end before we left the building. We all stood and faced the flag and saying God bless America. It was truly a wonderful evening.I would do it again and I Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great evening together.

The show was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was I had to sift through the platters to find a clean one and the ribs were not very good. The chicken and the rest of the dinner was amazing. Our favorite part was at the end when they did Ghost Rider.

This place was so much fun! We had a bit of a logistical problem at first, but the owner very graciously sorted everything out for us. Our party of 14 highly enjoyed the activities, the drinks, the food and the show. Even though they had a full house we still were able to enjoy all the activities and it didn't feel crowded at all. The family that owns this venue goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure you have a great time. Fun activities, strong drinks, tasty food, talented performers and an owner who gives 200% to make sure you have a great time. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Blazin' M Ranch for an enjoyable evening.

Disappointed...I went 30 years ago and it was fantastic. This time, everything was good, BUT the show. I was looking forward to cowboy and western music to go along with the the whole theme of the evening. Instead, it was Patsy Kline and pop music, with NOT so family friendly corny banter. However, I must say the musicians were all top notch. The staff was very friendly and put a great effort into it all. For the price, the food portions were small, except the chicken. I wouldn't recommend until the show gets back to what originally was, good clean cowboy entertainment.

Just WOW. Such an amazing night. I want to post my review now as I'm still in awe at what a great time we had. First, the crew (employees), so so sweet and nice. ALL of them. They really made us feel welcome and it was genuine! The prices in the gift shop and saloon are great. From the cowboy who took you on a small tractor ride with his knowledge of the ranch and it's history to the person in the general store, to the one who taught you to throw an axe or your entertainers...AWESOME! Kind, sweet and very appreciative. Charles was extra wonderful and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious (except the baked beans...sorry) The show was great. So wonderful to see something"old school" last this long and stay so wonderful. Everything was wonderful. Thank you

Great activities and oldies show music. It would be even better is some newer songs where included. The food was okay and this is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. The chicken and ribs were tasty. The rolls were very stale/dry, the beans were bland, the slaw and mac & cheese were unremarkable. The pie was great!

Just enjoyed this wonderful show and activities. Mini golf, axe throwing, old time photos, an escape room, a train ride, a fun saloon, and much more. The food was absolutely fantastic! We bought the VIP tickets and it was worth it.

Fun little wild west ranch. The show was kitschy but in a good way. Everyone there was happy and having a good time. The food was surprisingly really good for a chuck wagon style serving. I know you may want to, but don't steal the BBQ sauce. Overall I had a great time.

Such a fun time! I would highly recommend Blazin’ M Ranch. The property is beautiful and so cool. Love the theming done, and the activities are so much fun for the whole family. The wooden dioramas are so detailed and cool to check out. Amazing work! The kids LOVED the goats, axe throwing and tractor/train ride. We didn’t have enough time to get an old timey photo and do some of the other activities, which just gives us more reasons to come back.Everyone really enjoyed the Saloon. The staff was so friendly and the drinks were to die for. Yum! Recommend the prickly pear margarita for sure and the creamsicle. The kids really felt included sipping on a sarsaparilla on the porch.Don’t miss the goats behind the saloon, absolutely adorable. After the dinner bell rings you get to take a seat in an amazing venue, the barn is decorated awesome! What a fun place. The food is awesome, definitely make sure you’re hungry. The ribs and chicken fall off the bone, the prickly pear coleslaw is so flavorful, and the rest of the mood is tasty and filling. Definitely make sure to save room for the pie, such a buttery delicious crust. You can even go back for seconds, I was way too full for that though. My kids are picky and they ate so good. A+ recommendation there hahaNow to the funnest part of the evening, the dinner show. The band is amazing! The performers are fun and really try and pull you into that show, and the jokes keep it light and fun. We had so much fun! The music really caps off the night and makes this a great experience.I would say it’s the country/cowboy medieval times, but with way better food and great music! We will definitely be going back and bringing some friend with. I definitely recommend the Blazin’ M Ranch!! Thank you to the whole staff. You rock!

What a fun time for the whole family. We recently attended a show and meal at the ranch and we had a blast. It was my mom, myself and my two daughters ages 11 and 9 and it was great fun for all ages. Be sure to get there right when the gates open to take advantage of all the activities. There was bull riding, axe throwing, tractor rides and more. The BBQ was so good. I am lactose intolerant and I was very appreciative of the extra preparation they take for those with food allergies. Great music after dinner. I would definitely recommend for those looking for a great western adventure.

They show was very entertaining and engaging, they had fun things to do pre show and we met so many good people. We can’t wait to bring the whole family next time. 12/10 recommend getting the VIP ticket for best seating!!!

It was a very nice place. The food was good, although the lemonade and iced tea brought to the table was a little weak. But overall a really good fun family time. My kids loved it and they're 25 years old. The staff was really warm. Very nice night out.

Fantastic experience overall. Everyone interacted with you in a friendly way and the owners were all apart of the show and the work throughout the town. They made the whole experience for my family very memorable and it's 8hrs from our house and we hope to come again some day. The Glass family that owns it and does the singing and leads the acts took great pride in their shows and the talented musicians blew our mind. Highly recommend for anyone in Sedona or nearby areas. Make the trip and spend the time with them. The food was great too and they treated you like family. Great time. My 4 and 6 year olds were having the time of their lives in the show.

We did the valentines day comedy show with the spouse whisper and had a really good time. Food was on par for what you expect when doing a large dinner show. Overall experience was fun, did some axe throwing, mechanical bull riding, and target shooting.

Old Town Cottonwood is a charming shopping district in Arizona with historic art galleries, shops, and cafes. Unlike other downtown areas that feel lifeless, Old Town Cottonwood has a lively atmosphere and is known for its wine-centric focus. The town offers a variety of coffee shops, bars, gift shops, and restaurants that cater to all interests. Additionally, the city hall's Christmas light display set to music reflects the amazing energy flowing through this small town.
They have done it right. Easy to walk around. Many different shops and restaurants and clean.

Love the visit love that has a lot of restaurants but also has a lot of breweries and wine tasting if that's your thing. Was a little disappointed that the thrift store that I wish to go was selling lot of its merchandise to close down. But still a beautiful place to go see and look it's only 20 minutes away from Jerome and has more eatery if you are hungry and do not want to wait hours to eat at Jerome and it's just down the road

It's a beautiful quaint neighborhood to walkthrough, and you can even enjoy a walk through it right before sunset to soak in a less crowded ambience while you see the people mingling in the bars and restaurants.I would recommend parking at the Old Town Activity Park, or you can park at the Jail Trail lot. This way, you can get off-street parking. From there, there's an accessible flat concrete sidewalk that extends for about 2 blocks with shops on either side. (Just keep in mind most businesses do seem to close around 4 or 5 pm.) There's crosswalks to help cross as well and the traffic wasn't too bad when I went. You can end your adventure at the top of Merkin Hilltop Vinery- there's a short set of stairs you can climb or a trolley ride; from there you can get a bird's-eye view of Cottonwood.

Winery' taste testing all up and down main Street. Restaurants , bars ,music, a park for hiking down to the verde river where u can relax in the shade of Cottonwood trees , blue skies peeks through the branches. Never crowded Theres a small market , A store that sells nothing but glitter .everything was glittered and I mean everything. There's a hippie shop with all kinds of fun stuff , .sketches of Bob Marley and Gerry Garcia by local artist. There is another store w/ beautiful artwork .wWrought iron work , things made from local tree stumps, jewelry,Inlaid wood tables ,fantasy artwork . One particular artist had a dream of a dagger sketched it immediatly after waking and now he has a collection of artwork for sale.Alot of the art has a story the artist conveys to you .Theres always live music somewhere or a good sound system in bars and on patios almost everyday.Listen for the church bell at the Belfry Restaurant.( once a church ). When the bell rings, which can be heard all thru out the town you have 5 minutes to get in there and order a beer for 1/2 price.Fojol Brothers bar / restaurant, food truck service and old long buses for rides in the desert w/ a D.J set up, disco lights on board or a live band will make u dance the night away on a bus .! The staff is encouraged to crazily dress up for work. This place only serve beer and wine also a food truck and healthy bar food served in this fun place. Bocce by the old stone bridge . A Big fire pit outside.good places to get together for gourmet pizza and wine.full bar. Martinis r their specialty drink, different one everyday. Price is right too. Montezuma Castle National Monument is a well-preserved collection of cliff dwelling ruins that were built by the Sinagua people during the 12th century. The site offers a short, paved loop path that passes interesting plaques and beautiful sycamore trees, providing plenty of shaded benches for visitors to relax on. The informative plaques share knowledge about medicinal plants and include a diorama of the interior of the "castle". The national monument also boasts a good gift shop.
This place is a must-visit if you're in Arizona. When you arrive, you can't help but feel a deep respect for the Sinagua people who built and carved their establishments into the rock. What is truly remarkable is the position and the natural environment they chose to call home. It's magical.

Montezuma Castle National Monument is worth the stop. I expected a little more but the small walking trail and viewpoints are still with a stop to look at this wonderful of times and people gone by. This is also a great national park stop for people with mobility challenges as it is extremely easy to navigate.

For a Monday, in mid-October there was a constant line to pay $10 per person to the ranger in the afternoon. Pleasant mostly shaded walk to see the cliff dwellings. There was water flowing in Beaver Creek. Gift store is well stocked. Dogs on leash are allowed on the trail.

A long drive in, and absolutely worth it. It's beautiful, peaceful, with lots of shade and benches. The visitor center/gift shop is full of nice gifts and the people were so friendly and helpful. The cliff dwelling and information on it was so interesting, I'm glad we didn't miss it!

What an amazing place! They stopped letting people into the castle back in the 50s but they have a replica of the inside. The castle we see is the second one. The remains of the first one is just past this location. It's a short paved trail. Definitely recommend stopping by this monument.

As a kid, this was one of my favorite places to visit. It is still just as awe-inspiring now as it was then. Take time to stroll along the path and read all the panels about the Sinauga people and their time spent in the Verde Valley. The grove of Sycamore trees created a significant temperature difference, which was refreshing. Have a little fun and request a Junior Ranger packet. Completing it will result in a fun gift and the opportunity to learn a little more about the area.

Its an amazing place to find out how the ancient civilization flourished in primitive conditions. History says, the hunters and farmers survived the harsh conditions by carving out rocks and mountains to build makeshift homes to settle down. This is one of the places that provides monumental evidence the survival of the fittest.

tickets in advance in order to save time. The location has a gift and informational building to walk through to get to the cliff dwelling which was awesome, informative and a delightful shopping experience. You basically do a self tour, although there was a ranger giving a tour to a large group of seniors, and we got to listen in. The castle to me is so incredible and leaves you with more questions than answers. You can not go up to the ruins so the structure does not get abused, which was fine with me. You can clearly see it from almost anywhere in the park. It had recently rained, so we got to see a full Oak Creek flowing by at the other side of the park. My wife and I visited on the Vernal Equinox in March of 2024, which was very moving. We found a park bench to rest and meditate foe awhile, and no one cared or bothers us. Beautiful sacred space and well taken care of. I definitely had the feeling that I was the immigrant and these amazing indigenous people who built this and lived here so long ago were still present in a spiritual way to welcome us there. Was a highlight of our vacation to Sedona and for only a $10 ticket, I would definitely visit and soak in again.

Hot, Hot, Hot. Really near monument tucked in the Verde Valley. Must pay to view monument, paved walkway, LOTS more of shade, animals welcome on leash (small animals were welcomed inside, but must be held.) Nice public bathrooms and there was a water bottle filler and a large picnic area. Very educational monument site with lots of displays, see the museum inside.

Seeing a cliff dwelling has been in my checklist so I was excited to see this option on our drive between Sedona and Phoenix. Parking is limited, but just be patient a spot will open. There's a small museum and gift shop, be sure to get your vinyl water bottle decal. It's just a short walk down the path before you get a glimpse of the amazing cliff dwelling. Be sure to continue your walk to see other sites in and around the cliff side. Bathrooms and a water filling station can also be found here.

This was a small site, but worth stopping at. It is amazing to see the castle. The area is very peaceful, and beautiful. And the visitors center is nice, with reasonably priced souvenirs to buy. We brought our dogs for the short loop, and they enjoyed the days out.

This was a lovely park. The rangers were very friendly. The pathway that takes you along side of the cliff is paved and mostly shaded. There is ample signage to describe what you are looking at- ruins of what once was a 20 room high rise apartment dating back almost 1000 years - the “castle.” There is also a well associated with the park that is several miles away. We didn’t find out about it until after we were home, but would have gone to see it had we known. We have a nationalParks pass but if you don’t, a ticket to this location also gets you entry into the nearby Tuzigoot National Monument which is also worth a visit

A wonderful place, worth visiting. The whole is under the care of the National Park Service. A short trail leading to the foot of the rocks does not require much strength.

Another interesting and well-maintained National Monument. We visited on a Saturday in March. Crowds were light and it was easy to view the exhibits and interact with the displays. Informative guides and docents along the trail as well as in the gift shop. An amazing look into the ancient community and indigenous cultures. Definitely worth the trip.

Montezuma Castle is a great stop if you're into history when traveling from Phoenix to Big Bend / Flagstaff / Petrified ForestThe visitor center includes a ticket counter and ranger when you first walk in. There's half of the store dedicated to a gift shop selling merchandise while the other half is an exhibit dedicated to Montezuma Castle. The exhibit is informative but has seen better days. There's a water bottle filling stations and restrooms on the walk in from the parking lot.The cliffside castle is a short walk (.15 mi) from the visitor center. The path is paved but a good amount of the path is unshaded, which can get hot when we visited August around 11a. The Castle itself is awe-inspiring - there's ruins of a other cliffside structures but that have since been destroyed.

Hands down one of the best stops on our trip. It wasn't very busy when we arrived so we had ample time for photos and reading the information. The castle was magnificent and easy to photograph. I plan on returning often. Montezuma Well, located near Rimrock, is a fascinating archaeological site featuring ancient cliff dwellings and a limestone sinkhole with a natural spring. The well's daily flow of 1.4 million gallons is truly awe-inspiring. Visitors can explore the area via a short 1/3 mile trail that offers views of the major sites and leads to the water's outlet. Park rangers are available to provide orientation and share insights about the site's history and local wildlife.
This place was Amazing. Lots of History. Montezuma's Castle still stands which looks like carved into the mountain as of today. We were able to see where the Indians anchored a 20 room Apartment house in the face of the cliff. We were able to walk around and see all the pretty trees and scenery , there is a running creek here. We also were able to use our Parks card to get in for free , there were 3 of us. I would recommend a visit here.

The well is about 12 miles away from the Montezuma Castle; it’s worth a visit. We came in mid-September 2024 after the weather finally cooled down a bit. There was a small walk uphill, and the walk is not handicap friendly. For wheelchair, it would be very difficult/nearly impossible. The walk was about 0.3 miles and it continued on around the natural area for about 1 mile in total. I enjoyed the view and would recommend coming for the historical site and the view.It would be nice to have a small panic on the rocks; we didn’t bring any food but it would be great on a clear day.Do note that this site has no bathroom but two potable stales. No running water. Consider using the restroom at the castle before coming to the well.

Stopped at this monument after being made aware of it at the Camp Verde Visitor Center. Went on a very clear day and had a beautiful view of the well. We went on the weekend, and although it was a pretty hot day, we only ran into a few people on the trail. We were warmly greeted by a couple of rangers who were eager to provide information and answer any questions. The trail itself wasn’t too long, maybe a mile or two, but you could make it longer by taking the stairs down closer to the water in 2 locations. There was no access to the actual well, however on the backside you could get very close to the water as it exited the well. There were plenty of informative signs telling you about the well and pictures depicting different aspects of it. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area!

Wow. What a magical place. The cliff dwellings are unique & mysterious. The walk down to the canal & creek is like entering a different world with the water, rocks, and giant old cottonwood trees. We were the only people on the trail at the time so we could hear the insects & one lone bird singing.Pure desert awesomeness 🌵

Montezuma Well is a remarkable site characterized by its unique origins and intriguing narrative. The uncertainty surrounding its history captivates one’s curiosity, inviting exploration of its distinctive geological features. This location serves as a fascinating example of natural phenomena worth in-depth study.
GEORGIOS M — Google review
This is an incredible place as it has a beautiful natural well which was used by ancient peoples to irrigate over 7 miles of crops and the remnants and ruins of homes built into the cliffs and surrounding areas. Admission was free and rangers were present while we visited who shared the history of the site and answered questions. The water in the well is too high in CO2 to support much life but contains some living things including some species found nowhere else. Now the well drains into the river, you can walk from the anyone well to the river but sadly there is no swimming. Montezuma Well is a great day trip destination or stop along the way from or to northern AZ and is very near Montezuma Castle which is another amazing historical site to see.
Kat B — Google review
Interesting to see the origins of the water for the area. A real concern was what appeared to be African rush taking over the open water space. Trails and signs. You must be in fair to good walking health to go up the hill and down to the water level. Please leave everything untouched as it is an archaeological site. Amazing birds all around. Very helpful park staff. Great lookout across the valley.
Lois R — Google review
On another trip I visited Montezuma castle so this time it’s all about the well. I really enjoyed learning about the water feature and the different dwellings. There’s a short 1/3 mile blue pike that allows you to take in all of the major sites. A side trail takes you down to the waters outlet. We visited on a slightly overcast day, which made it very comfortable, but still required a hat, sunscreen and water. The park ranger was very helpful in orienting us to the sites and the animals of the area. There’s a toilet and plenty of parking.

Beautiful little place to take a short walk! We stopped while driving and it was nice to stretch our legs and see something cool.

If you're into early Native American history, this is a great place. Montezuma well has some cliff dwelling along with a spring and an engineering marvel of a 7 mile long aquifer. ( I'm not sure if it still remains that long today because we only saw the portion from the foot path.) If you stay on the path, it's very easy and walkable. If you would like to venture off down to base, it's too not difficult. Just know your limits. Then, as you head out, stop at the site just to the left walk down the path about 50 ft. There, the holes from a poll house. The whole experience takes about 30 minutes max. and worth every minute. (Things you need: drinking water, good walking shoes, sunscreen.) As a safety tip, I always recommend staying on the paths provided, walking with partner, staying hydrated, and last have reliable transportation.

Montezuma's well is a must see stop. It is very beautiful it is a short hike to a gorgeous overlook into the sinkhole. This is a no fee area and two ways to enter a paved way marked by gps or a dirt road. Both ways are well maintained. This was another must stop and see with positive reviews from the family. Please remember to wear sunscreen, protective clothes , and bring water during the summer months. This is a highly recommended stop. The scenery is awe inspiring.

Great experience - pleasantly surprised by the well and dwellings nearby, and information available. Volunteers were particularly friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to spend a few hours exploring - lots of steps and less stable areas, so wear good hiking shoes.

If you drop by to see Montezuma’s Castle you should also check out the well. It is an about 5-6 miles off the freeway a few miles up the 17 from the castle but it is worth the little bit of extra drive to check out the well. There is no entry fee to get into the park to see the well which is really cool. The hike is pretty easy to see the well and the cliff dwellings around it. You can also hike around the loop to a cool little waterfall at the exit of the well.

Pretty climb down to a creek & cool structures built alongside a basin. The basin is pretty & home to ~five species that don't exist anywhere else (small water creatures- not necessarily something you'll see, but fun fact!). Currently a small part of the trail is closed off for nesting bats, but it doesn't take off from much of it.
Wilde B — Google review
It's not too bad of a walk. I'd say to do the complete circle it took about 20-25 minutes. I'm not sure if they get packed, but it was only us and another family while we were there. There are some stairs to go up and down, so it may be a little difficult for those who have issues walking. If you have kids, ask the park ranger how they can get the little ranger badge before you start.

Very cool place to visit! It's amazing to see this big pond in the middle of the desert. And the short hike down to the river was really neat. I went in February so there weren't any leaves on the trees, but I imagine it's beautiful.

Interesting spot, with cliff dwellings over the lake in the sink hole. You can also see the aqueduct created many hundreds years ago and still working. The area around the aqueduct is so beautiful and the temperature is nice and cool.

We visited April 14 2024. We have been to Montezuma's Castle before but didn't go to the well.Be aware, Google maps will try to take you the long way around on a dirt road to the well. We are in a Prius (I was nervous) but the road was fine for a low profile vehicle and great views. We could also see RVs and campers scattered around living their best lives 😊We arrived unscathed, it was not overly busy and the rangers were very informative and friendly. We had a peaceful, lovely walk in this beautiful ancient place.

This is an awesome, little known or traveled to ancient historic site that is only about 10 minutes from I-17. Worth every minute and it's FREE!

Had a great time tearing up the desert with our tour guide Kurtis he was informative and funny and must have been a photographer in his past life cause he’s great at it. We got to see the mountains and desert like never before. We learned some information about the plants and wildlife in the area that we might otherwise have never known. Overall great experience and would highly recommend

From check in , tutorial, safety conversation(do, don’t and onus of liability) while on the tour and check out this tour is awesome! The logical suggestions on which ATV given for the best experience was well appreciated! Kurtis was very informative and great story teller from his own experiences. Kurtis made sure we were good throughout by stopping and checking in with everyone. Directions were clear and precise! No way you could fear being out there with him! The punctuality was a plus as well. These are great! Check them out! Thank you for the experience guys!

Coming from Chicago, we don’t have deserts out by us so this was a definite adventure and treat for us. As soon as we arrived, the staff was very welcoming. They signed us in and setup us with the required gear. Our door guide was Jesse and he was phenomenal. He took time to train us and made sure we were all ready to tackle the ATV course that lie ahead. During the trip, he made sure that each of us were safe along the trail. We also stopped at different points to get off the ATV and have a look around at the scenery. The entire trip was so memorable and would definitely do it again. Thank you Jesse for a great time!

My boyfriend and I booked for a 7am ATV training and an 8am ATV Centipede trail guided tour and we had a blast! This place is fantastic - very organized and full of passionate employees who love their jobs. We had Sam as our tour guide and he was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and super engaged, checking in on us often and encouraging us along the way. Sam made time for photos as well at every tour stop. He even gave each of us on the tour a crystal rock from the desert as a little souvenir from him - it was so sweet! We had an amazing time and felt supported every step of the way which was important since it was our first ever ATV experience.I would HIGHLY recommend doing the extra training before the tour. Those of us in the tour group that had the training and extended practice time before heading into the desert felt much more confident and comfortable than those that did not!

The tour we had through the Sonoran Desert with our tour guide Jake was a blast! The trail managed to be thrilling yet of an acceptable difficulty for newbies, with a full explanation beforehand for concerns regarding operation. Lots of good opportunities for photos, and there is a short stop midway (with a great view) where you can get out and do just that.In terms of what you should bring, a pouch for your phone supposing you don’t want it to get dusty is recommended. Most objects like water and headgear will be provided, and ID will be left at the check in-desk so bringing a wallet isn’t necessary during the tour. Arizona Outdoor Fun may be able to recover lost items, but no guarantees front. Better safe than sorry!Overall, this kind of activity isn’t for everyone, but it can be fun for the whole family if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience. They have other activities on-site if you still have energy after the tour, or are interested in that specifically, but we were pretty satisfied with our initial experience.Pictures are of myself and my brother, as well as some I took during the tour.

My family and I booked the guided ATV/UTV Tour. This was the first time ever riding, but it was so fun and amazing. Our tour guide, Rob, was amazing and provided so much insight throughout our tour. He was very attentive, ensuring safety for everyone. All of the staff here were nice, friendly and attentive. My son's had so much fun. They booked again the following day. The next time we're in AZ, I'd definitely book again.

We had a great time! Both my teenage sons have their licenses and LOVED driving the rough terrain. Our guides were great...very informative. Highly recommend. Wear dark clothes cause you're going to get dirty. And old close toed shoes...not something new (or white!)

What an amazing place. The team were fantastic, very helpful every step of the way. The booking process was very straightforward. On the day the team talked us through what to do and what not to do. Jake out guide did a superb job of making sure we were all comfortable and having fun. He was very knowledgeable. Will definitely revisit next time we are back in the area.

I absolutely enjoyed my guided UTV ride today with Bryan. James did well also assisting. Right from beginning at check in Bryan referred to guests as his friends and had positive energy that made you look forward to the tour. I enjoyed learning about the history of the land and also about the plant and animal life. Bryan expressed these fun facts with ease and excitement and answered questions. You can tell he enjoys doing this. The tour itself was amazing! I would definitely do this again. Thank you Bryan for such an amazing time

The boys from Iowa had a blast cruising up and down the mountains with Jake! Great trails, great equipment, and lots of big smiles from my 3 boys! Jake took great care of our group and we went all over the trains, up/down and left & right! Fantastic views along all of the trails. You will see some of the tallest & biggest cactus’s I’ve ever seen! Great afternoon adventure!

Had an incredible experience at AZ Outdoor Fun, and I can't recommend it enough. Despite being walk-ins without a prior booking, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated without any hassle.Special thanks to Josh, who truly went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. He provided us with the most comprehensive safety rundown I have ever received at a shooting range, ensuring we felt confident and secure throughout the entire experience. Josh's expertise and enthusiasm made a significant difference.Shooting the impressive .50 cal sniper rifle was made only better by Josh capturing some amazing videos of us in action, adding to the unforgettable memories we made that day.Thank you, Josh, and the entire AZ Outdoor Fun team, for an outstanding experience. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend your services to friends and family!

Arizona Outdoor Fun offers a great adventure experience, but it falls just short of being truly thrilling. The guided tours are well-organized, and the staff is professional and knowledgeable, ensuring everyone feels safe throughout the activities. The equipment, whether it's the ATVs or the UTVs, is in good condition, making the rides smooth and enjoyable. The desert landscape is stunning, offering beautiful views of the Arizona wilderness that make the experience visually unforgettable. However, if you're an adrenaline junkie looking for an extreme thrill, this tour might leave you wanting a bit more. While the trails are fun, they don't quite deliver the heart-pounding excitement some might expect. There were moments where I felt like the pace could have been kicked up a notch to really make the most of the rugged terrain. That said, Arizona Outdoor Fun is still an excellent option for families, beginners, or those looking for a more laid-back adventure. If they could just add a bit more intensity to the tour, this would easily be a five-star experience. Overall, it’s a great way to explore the outdoors, but for true adrenaline seekers, it might be just a little too tame.

What an incredible experience! My husband & I went on a UTV guided tour this morning with Matt for our anniversary & it was the perfect way to celebrate living in this new state. We originally booked ATVs but circumstances led us to think a UTV was a better idea. The manager was super accommodating in letting us switch, Matt was a really knowledgeable guide, and it was a gorgeous ride. I’d definitely recommend going as early as you can in the day due to the heat but if you haven’t done this yet, don’t hesitate!

Arizona Outdoors Fun was an amazing experience, and an amazing way to see just what Arizona has to offer. The ride was great, our tour guide, Joe, was knowledge and lead the pack with ease. They offer water, face mask to help with the dust, and all the safety equipment you’d need for a fun ride. The only suggestion I would make is for a better system for picking vehicles. We were waiting about 45 minutes from check-in to take off. When they finally let us head to vehicles, my husband and I were a foot away from a 2 person vehicle, and an additional customer, who came in last minute, ran past us to “claim” the vehicle and then tried to start a verbal argument with us about using that vehicle. It really started the ride off on a bad note, and left us feeling frustrated because we had been there waiting patiently first. Things should be done on a first come, first serve basis so there isn’t a foot race for things.

Went with my son. For the most part, it's a good time. The staff were nice, and the course was a good rocky ride and not meant for older riders. Wish it had more flat straight aways, and it was very crowded. We had to stop for about 20 minutes to sort out 2 groups of about 20 riding into each other, but not enough room to pass. The staff also feels some stress and even heard one staff member yell at a customer because his sons ATV would not start and he was waiting for him. The staff was yelling at the father to just keep going, which had the risk of separating the 2. The staff had time limits on the amount of time to bring people back, so I guess it was somewhat understandable. All in all, it was a good experience but would go to Sedona next time as it is less crowded, less stressful and has more flat straight aways.

We had an incredible experience with AZ Outdoor Fun! On our first day, we were walk-ups around 1 PM and were told we couldn’t ride due to their cut-off time for walk-ups. Though we were upset after driving an hour, we respected their policy and returned the next day with a booking. I’m so glad we did!The staff was exceptionally friendly and honest. I initially feared they might be unaccommodating due to my sister being paralyzed and in a wheelchair, but they proved me wrong in the best way possible. They were accommodating, non-judgmental, and incredibly helpful—little angels in every sense! The team’s commitment to safety was truly impressive. My sister had a mishap and flipped over on her ATV, and the staff was quick to ensure her safety and my boyfriend hurt himself and their concern was entirely for their well-being rather than the equipment. I know we must have stressed them out, but they handled everything with professionalism and care.Though I can’t remember all their names, Brian, Mike, and the other two team members made our experience unforgettable. Their emphasis on safety, honesty, and efficiency truly stood out. We had an absolute blast, and if I ever hit the lotto, they are definitely getting a cut! Thank you, AZ Outdoor Fun, for an amazing visit.

I had the most fun!At first they will take you on a practice track. While going around I told one of the instructors that I was scared and they were really encouraging so I decided to continue on the trail with the ATV.I became more confident and started having so much fun! Going over rocks and bumps was part of the fun!The staff was very knowledgeable about the different plants and wild life. They also stopped plenty of times for water breaks and pictures.Make sure you eat and drink plenty of water before you go.Our instructor was Matt who was super cool, friendly, funny and helpful!!! For those who were slower he’d wait or for those who got stuck he would help right away!

I booked an unguided tour for my sister’s birthday last week, and we all had a blast!Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. At the end of our tour I felt really hot, and asked if I could sit on the steps to their trailer so I could be in the shade. They took it a step further and invited me into the trailer so I could get out of the heat, and gave me bottled waters to put under my arms and behind my neck.Josh stayed with me the whole time. He was so nice and attentive, super funny, and I really enjoyed our conversation! The 4 wheeling was great, but it’s the staff that really made the whole experience. We would definitely come back!

Definitely a must do when in town. Originally we reserved for the unguided tour but changed our mind when we got there. This was our first visit but everything was amazing. The UTV we rented ran smoothly, the trail was made of different types of terrain but was not difficult. Our guide Matt was nice and informative. He made the whole tour fun and we didn’t feel like we were so restricted that we couldn’t have fun. Make sure to dress appropriately, you will get very dusty. We went for the 6am tour and the weather was perfect. It was cool but not cold. We will be back whenever we’re in town.

I'm Glad Our California trip was canceled Because Otherwise we wouldn't have came Here, We Did the Utv tour & Shooting.Wow, It Exceeded our expectations 1000%We arrived about 9:45 for our 10am booking. They sent us to the first part of our booking to shoot for an hour.I forgot his name but he is Ex-Militay He taught us about Safety on a 9MM, 22, the AR-15 & AK-47 and educated us on A future purchase. We enjoyed our time on the range. We will definitely be back.We went back over to the Utv area where Every Guide employee was offering us waters. Had us sit under the shades & had the misting fans going. We were guided by Saguaro Sam & another guy that was at the end of our centipede. We will definitely recommend going to an early session if it's in Summer, But After you are moving it's nice. We enjoyed ourselves. Most definitely looking at the other locations to explore. Drink water, if you think you're good, you're not. Drink anyway. Take the water.

We had the absolute best time! The guides were helpful in giving us tips & tricks for our first time & pointed us towards UTVs instead of ATVs, which ended up being a great choice. They were easy to drive, we felt safe, & the trail was beautiful. Our tour guide, Matt, was wonderful & very knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, & plant life. He answered all our questions & clearly loves what he does. We definitely want to come back & experience the beautiful desert again someday!

White Tank Mountain Regional Park is the largest park in Maricopa County, covering 30,000 acres and featuring the stunning White Tank Mountains that reach heights of 4000 feet. The park offers a range of activities including biking, hiking, and horseback riding on its extensive trails. Visitors can also enjoy unique experiences such as snake feeding and moonlight hikes for both adults and families.
Absolutely beautiful. The trails are well groomed but rocky. Wear good hiking shoes or boots and bring plenty of water. There are a lot of trails to choose from depending on your level. There are shorter more well groomed trails like the waterfall trail or longer 9+ Mile trails with lots of elevation changes. Lots of wildlife to see on the trails and beautiful views. The library at the entrance of the park is also very nice. There is a great souvenir shop in the library as well.

Beautiful desert scenery! Waterfall trail is my favorite trail here! It’s not too hard but you definitely get a little work out going up part of the trail. If you go just after rainfall there is a mini waterfall at the end of the trail. Definitely do not go hiking in the summer unless you go very early in the morning, even then if you don't finish before it gets too hot you are stuck in the heat.

We made reservations to stay at the family campground Rv park. There a few of these Rv camping spots with different names throughout the park. We stayed in space 12 and it was a pull through. It had 30 or 50 amp and water hook up. They have a dump station as well but no hook ups for sewer at our spot. The spot was very nice and maintained. It had a concrete picnic table and a fire pit. The camp hosts made rounds in a pick up truck delivering fire wood if you wanted it. I believe they sell it at the camp host spot as well. We used a gas fire pit so no need for wood. We walked over to mule deer trail and the windmill and pond from our camp site and it was just over 3 miles round trip. The waterfall trail was a bit further. We drive to that and parked in the parking lot and hiked up to it. The hiking path has a concrete walk way halfway up the trail. There are sitting benches and tons of petroglyphs. We stayed two night and had great views at night of the city lights. Nice quiet state park to stay at. We would come back and stay again.

Love this park. Lots of great hiking and great views. One of our favorites is the Waterfall trail that ends in an actual waterfall (assuming it has recently rained). It's a short hike and for most of it, wheelchair accessible. Great for kids and dogs too.

The White Tanks have always been a family favorite to hike, have a picnic, and clear your head etc. The trails are varied and can go from easy to very rustic. It doesn't matter whether you go on a sunny day or cloudy day, it's always worth it to get out into nature. Always bring more water than you think you'll need, as it's better to be prepared. Dog friendly, you see many along the trails, with people of all ages. The restrooms are always clean, and the picnic areas ready to be enjoyed as well. Grab a map if you have been here from the entry where you pay, and explore our beautiful state. Wildlife abounds, so be mindful and respectful as you might encounter critters and snakes. No need to be afraid, just be cautious of your surroundings.Stunning views, will not disappoint!

White Tanks is my favorite place to go! And the staff are really friendly! 😊 my mom and I love going on the black rock long loop trail and after the hike we go for a drive to see if we see any wildlife😊 so far we’ve seen deer, coyotes, bunnies, lizards, tortoise and javelinas and rattlesnakes

There are many trails to choose from, but the one we chose was the waterfall trail, crossing our fingers that there had been enough rain the couple days prior. The trail is pretty short being .8 mile each way and very easy hiking. There are many rocks with petroglyphs to see along the way and a side trail called "the long loop" you can take out into the valley. We reached the top and were disappointed as there was no waterfall, only a small pond area at the base where waterfall would normally be. It was still very beautiful and we had a great time, but I would definitely recommend to visit when the waterfall is flowing! I also recommend the side long loop trail as it is very neat with beautiful photo ops.

We did the Waterfall trail. It’s a great trail. Paved part of the way. There wasn’t any water under the main falls, but we climbed up a ledge and found purple water! It was a fun surprise. I have no idea why it’s purple. We saw quite a few lizards and a really small snake. The petroglyphs are very cool as well.

Today’s hike brought to you by the White Tanks. This regional park is so underrated and that bums me out. So many trails and beautiful views. On any given day you may see wildlife, petroglyphs or even join a luminary hike during the holidays. If it’s rained a good amount you may even hike a trail to a waterfall. There are playgrounds and picnic areas if hiking isn’t your thing and plenty of restrooms in areas all around the park. Entry fee is $7 a car, but there are walk/bike in options as well. Trails of course vary for easy to hard depending on skill level. I’m more your moderate to easy hiking level, but some of the harder trails I’ve done but shortened them drastically. There are biking trails if you love that. You are allowed to camp here as well. It’s a great place to enjoy nature and peace and quiet . I came around 9am and was pleased to practically have an entire area to myself. I only crossed a few people the entire way. Trails are easily marked, but you may ask for a map at entry if you worry you may get lost. If you’d like to see more they also have a beautiful library and nature center at the entrance of the park. So worth checking out as well. If you’re on the fence about visiting the park come check it out.

We did the mesquite canyon trail loop. 8 miles round trip. We went on a Saturday morning (60 degrees). Took us four hours but we are old and slow! Perfect weather in January. 100% sunshine, a small portion of the trail was shaded by rocks, and there was a puff of wind every once and a while. Lovely day. Up up up you go, then trail levels out( sort of). Super vies of Phoenix the higher you go. Then you get into the back country hills. Yes it's rocks and cactus 🌵 but it was a beautiful an interesting hike. Lots of friendly hikes on the trail, but not too many at all.Best part: there were volunteers picking up trash in the picnic area/ parking lot when we got there, thank you!! People there are trash cans, USE THEM.Not so great: hotdog (or maybe tamales??) vendor in the parking lot was gone when we got back☹️

All of the Camp Hosts have been amazing. It’s a nice quiet park. They hosts do a great job cleaning up camp sites, bathrooms, and collecting the trash. Love seeing them at the gates and their wonderful smiles. They make the experience of the regional parks unique. Wish there was an on site laundry, it’d make life so much easier for regular campers. Kudos for doing it right!

Great place for outdoor activities. We did the Waterfall Trail and it's a great family trail! About half of it is paved and the rest is an easily marked trail. There are lots of spots along the trail to pull off and a lot of areas to stop and rest along the way with benches. I have knee issues, so having the spots to rest for just a min was very helpful for me. Several petroglyphs can be spotted as well as some local wildlife if you're lucky. You do only see an actual waterfall after a heavy rain, but even without it flowing the area is still quite a site to behold. My family and I went on a Saturday at around 1pm in January and, while there were a lot of people there, the trail didn't feel crowded in my opinion. There's a restroom as well as a ramada and tables for having some lunch before or after your walk. Just across the road from the trailhead is a nice park for kids as well. We noticed it as we were leaving, so we will have to check it out and review that next time.

Hiked 8.3 miles on Mesquite, Ford, and Willow Canyons trails. Nice moderate trails with light traffic. Mostly a gradual climb, and the trail has fewer rocks than the Goat Camp trail. Saw a Gila Monster, small lizards and a Garter Snake.

Great way for you or the whole family to spend the day in the wilderness with awesome views. Best times to come here would be November through April. Lots of different trails with different levels and ratings. We brought our Border Collie and she loved exploring all the trails we took her on. The last trail we got rained on, but it was well worth it!!

More plant diversity here at White Tank than other nature areas nearby like Verrado Hills. Some of the trails are long, so be careful because you could be doing a 6 hour Ford loop if you are a newbie (but length doesn't deter points). It's Arizona so of course the trails are rocky too.

The Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum is a replica of an Old West pioneer town that takes visitors on a tour of the state's territorial days. Costumed craftspeople recreate life in the 1870s and 1880s, while also holding special events like a lively bluegrass festival throughout the year. Children and adults of all ages are welcome to stop by and enjoy an afternoon of family fun.
I enjoyed looking at the pioneer experience! Explaining to two toddlers what we were looking at! The 4 yr old thought the school is where they made witches as there was a witches hat there! I explained to him what a dunces hat was! And told him he would be wearing it everyday as he sasses adults all the time! He said he was NOT gonna go to that school!

Go go go. This was a highlight of our trip to Scottsdale. I was skeptical at first but quickly won over at the history, buildings, grounds, flowers, live animals, and most of all the people who devote their time to bring alive this historical experience. Women in costume discuss their tatting, the trails are beautifully kept, you can touch and feel the bullet holes in the structures, and the vistas are sublime. We really had fun watching a movie being shot while we visited. Most enjoyable.

If you are visiting Phoenix this place is 100% worth the drive and the admission. There is so much to see! It is full of rich history and the people who work and volunteer here are absolutely lovely. Ms Pearl (Laura) in the dress shop is beyond friendly and so knowledgeable. She alone made my visit much richer. The lady in the printing shop (whose name I forgot) is happy to explain the history of the printing presses and how they work. It's truly a lovely museum and I highly recommend it. There is a lot of walking, but most of the area has a paved sidewalk and most of the buildings have ramps, so the majority is accessible.

My mom told me she chaperoned my 3rd grade field trip here, which was the early 90s. So, to chaperone my childs 4th grade class, it was a really cool experience. The telephone museum was by far my favorite, that alone would be worth another visit without children. Parking was super easy. The staff was super friendly and helpful even with several schools coming at them at once. There's a lot to see here. Lots of walking to get to the different exhibits and houses. It was very breezy and sunny. Recommend comfy shoes and sunscreen.

We honestly had a wonderful experience. Visiting town from Los Angeles for the Christmas holiday. We went on Wednesday 12/21 and we were literally the only ones there. We arrived at 1:30 and left shortly after 3PM and aside from the employees there was not a single other person on site today which was awesome.I really enjoyed being able to see vintage historical buildings, as well as the re-creations of other buildings. Some were as old as 1875. It was especially nice just to be able to walk outside and go at your own pace. It’s hard to find anything like this back home, so it was a really unique experience for us. I do wish they would’ve had some more historical information about each building but that would be something easy to fix. Overall a really pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend to any visitor or anyone who is from Arizona as well.

Oh my goodness! If you love old towns, museums, reenactments, dressing in old western wear, or if you have a class that does field trips in the fall, this is the place for you! We had so much fun. The woman who checked us in was awesome and knowledgeable. The parking lot is massive and gravel. There is an RV park nearby as well as a shooting range if that is something you like to do too. They have festivals in the fall, you can have weddings on site, and it makes for a great morning out and about just a little ways from Phoenix. They have picnic tables on site, and you can bring your water bottles/ lunch bag in with you.

We enjoyed our time at the Pioneer Living History Museum. Entrance cost was $12 a person. There is a lot of walking involved, but mostly a paved path. It's outdoors, so you may want to visit in the cooler months or make a morning visit. They have actual structures from the late 1800's that they relocated as well as reproductions. I was able to get a lot of great photos.

Wild West Historical Buffs listen up, here’s a must experience place! Pioneer Living History Institution as encompassing Territorial Arizona from 1863 to 1912, believe it. This enormous open-air museum boasts over 30 historic structures and stuff with antiques, memorabilia, artifacts, live animals and exhibits that will astound any aficionado or historical curiosity seeker. Their reconstructed, original and reproductions, from AZ first Senator’s home to Blacksmith Shops, to a Church, to some Victorian homes, a late eighteen hundreds dress shop, it’s an amazing adventure. This Museum does not get enough recognition! And I believe they don’t charge enough admission. From the moment you walk into the Entrance/Incredible Antique Bar/Snack Bar/Ticket Counter/incredible Telephone Museum, you will be walking at least a mile and one half throughout your stay, they created a very walkable concrete walk but ensure to carry water and best done in the morning or late afternoon, but well worth the walk (exercise)! Expect a couple of hours here. You will marvel at many things here and realize our predecessors opening the west for us, really, really, really had a hard life.

Our recent field trip to the Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum with a group of junior high schoolers was nothing short of a resounding success. From start to finish, the students were captivated by the immersive historical environment and engaging activities offered at the museum. One of the highlights of our visit was the enthralling western show, which transported us back in time to the era of cowboys and pioneers. The students were thoroughly entertained as they watched dramatic reenactments of historical events, complete with authentic costumes and storytelling. In addition to the western show, the museum offered a wealth of educational opportunities for the students to explore. From interactive exhibits showcasing pioneer life to hands-on demonstrations of traditional crafts and skills, there was something for everyone to enjoy and learn from. The immersive nature of the museum's exhibits allowed the students to step into the shoes of early settlers and gain a deeper understanding of Arizona's rich history. Their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the day were a testament to the museum's ability to bring history to life in a meaningful and impactful way.Overall, our experience at the Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum exceeded expectations, leaving a lasting impression on both students and chaperones alike. We look forward to returning in the future for another memorable educational adventure.

A great museum that has preserved many items from the past. Friendly knowledge staff. The telephone museum is awesome and brought back such fun memories. The young lady that showed us around was fabulous. Connie, thanks for your hospitality!

I loved all the old timey stuff. The show was pretty cool! I actually learned a lot.

Enjoyed looking at the original structures. Staff were friendly. Saw some wildlife to include a rattlesnake.

Came here over 20 plus years ago on a son's school field trip. Finally got to come back. Loved looking at all the old building. There's a gun range on the other side of the hill so you can hear bullet shooting which kind of put you back in the old days (lol) but when they weren't shooting it was so peaceful there.

This was a great spot to walk around amd enjoy the property. Went when a film crew was making a movie so there was no one "living" at the museum. Will definitely try again still enjoyed the property.

Yes yes and more yes! What a lovely treasure from the friendliness of the staff greeting you, the wonderful telephone expert Steve and everything in between. The grounds are just spectacular and all the little stops along the paths are charming. My one suggestion would be to label some of the trees and plants, I found them to be part of the experience and would love to know a little about them as well.

This was a fascinating museum! There are over a dozen buildings to view. Some buildings you can go inside and others you look through windows and read plaques concerning the history of the building. Quite a few of the buildings are originals! Others are reconstructed, but still very cool to look at and read about! There is a sidewalk for those with young children needing strollers. Allow at least an hour to enjoy! $12/adult. $10/children ages 5-16. There is a volunteer who is available to teach about telephone technology in the Telephone Museum portion of the Pioneer Living Museum! There is an RV park out there so be sure of which road you take to park at the museum so you don't have to do a turn around in the RV park.

Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Glendale, Arizona boasts the state's largest collection of exotic animals, including white tigers, lions, jaguars, giraffes, monkeys, kangaroos, sharks and penguins. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as feeding giraffes and petting stingrays. The park offers rides like the log flume through the aquarium and an African safari train.
WOW! Awesome zoo. Spent over 5 hours exploring the zoo grounds. Turns out this is a great place. Enjoyed the day and we seemed to see everything in one day. Very clean grounds and saw so many different species of animals our minds are on overload. We will return for another visit in the fall to see how the change of seasons turns out. Highly recommend a visit if your on the fence.

A wonderful place for the kids to spend entire days there without getting them bored. A rare combination of Zoo and Aquarium made this place more attractive than Phoenix Zoo. In a typical hot AZ day, the aquarium offers both cool air and cool things to play. The kids can touch a lot of stingray in a small pond. There is a BBQ restaurant behind the big shark tank.Africa Safari Ride is the best paid activity in term value per dollar both entertaining and educational. So many interactive animal activities for the kids. My kid wanted to feed the goats for the whole day. Animal feeding, seal performance, and many more. The noise in the air might be a little disrupting during your outdoor fun activities with animals due to the nearby Air Force field aircraft training.

All three of us had a great time and we spent easily 5 hours here as it is 5 mi to walk the whole time perimeter of the zoo. The thing we like about this place is the amount of animals to see in great abundance and in close proximity. A lot of the animals are only inches and the bigger ones a few feet away so you can see them in greater details. I think the feeding of the giraffe was a great idea because it lets people come close to animals. We really liked the rhino exhibit that included three rhinos, the black bear exhibit, exhibit with the giant arrowanna fish. The aquariums were a big plus and the fact that there are aerial trams available for purchase is a good plus and adds to variety.

What an amazing place. I visited recently and I had no idea how big it was. They got a lot to see. I really enjoyed the aquariums. I wish the Phoenix Zoo had them. Definitely plan on spending the day there if you want to see everything. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a big zoo that is very spaced out. A lot to see. The food and service was very bad and over priced. I was disappointed most attractions were closed. So to pay the same entry fee when things are shut down doesn’t seem right. You can easily spend the day here. This place needs some maintenance. This could be really an amazing place if some TLC is put into it. Not impressed but it has a lot to do. The ride through the middle was fun. Didn’t do the safari because you wait about 35 minutes for the vehicles to come back if there is not room.

Coming from Chicago where we have Brookfield and Lincoln Park, this is one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to! It’s huge with a ton of variety of animals. Most of the times we’ve gone the animals are pretty active and they have baby animals all the time. The sea Lion show is awesome and the keepers and staff are all incredible. They have several good vendors but also allow food to save a few bucks for families. They also have a tram and a few kids rids. A great family day trip!
Rusty W — Google review
Me and my husband really enjoyed this. We saw the sea lion show and we rode the zip line the roller coaster they have this bird ride that you control the rudder and it was really fun. All the staff treated us really good. The girl at the giraffe feeding station was rude but every single other staff was great. If you want a great day I'd highly recommend this place. When your all done exploring check out the bbq restaurant it was so good.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is not only one of the best experiences you can have in Phoenix, but I would venture to say one of the best zoos in Southwest U.S. (better than the PHX zoo). This place exceeds so many expectations and it is absolutely massive - you can easily spend a full day here and still not see everything. There are so many intimate up close encounters you can have with animals here from all over the world, whether it's feeding giraffes or standing a foot away from performing sea lions. They do an incredible job with the layout here and the exhibits. So much of the park is in cool shade for the hotter days. Whenever your feet start getting sore you can enjoy the comfort of viewing the wildlife from the chairlift of the African safari tram. They also do a nice job providing a variety of food options, especially with the Dillon's BBQ near the entrance. How can you beat eating delicious bbq listening to live music while watching beautiful flamingos nearby?I sincerely hope, as others have mentioned here, that they can add elephants into this park in the near future, as that is really the only thing missing from this otherwise perfect zoo/aquarium!
Nicholas M — Google review
So, it's a pretty nice zoo and we had a good time. Food was actually pretty darn good for the price. I'll give them that, they got other places like them beat in the food category. I just really feel like there needed to be more of a presence with zoo staff. So many people walking around smoking. And it got really old really quick to constantly be in clouds of cigarette smoke. Also, there were an abundance of people screwing with the animals. Leaning forward and putting fingers and hands through the fence, even with the leopards, yes, the leopards. I understand the zoo can only do so much to protect the idiots we've become from themselves but just some actual visible employees out and about and not just where they want to take more money from you. That being said, if you haven't been then check it out, but I think once is good enough.
Brady R — Google review
Awesome zoo! Probably one of the best I have ever been too. The animals are just so live and vibrant! Most of the animals were playing and having a good time. The zoo definitely takes the building maintenance and animal enclosures seriously 110% at all times, very great too see.

I want to give it 5 stars, but we couldn't do a lot while there due to it being closed. Like the roller coaster, we went on the log water ride and it was super fun. Most were closed though.. We enjoyed feeding and petting the goats. We fed the giraffes and saw SO many very cool animals. Lots of sea life, which was great! We also enjoyed petting the stingrays. We had a lot of fun. Food and ice cream places were closed as well, not all but most. Staff were friendly. Gift shot is pretty cool. Parking was good.

A hidden gem of Phoenix and a better zoom than the popular one closer into the city. This is a rescue zoo and soon the experiences are more unique, varied, and often closer; on the other hand, it's not as polished as it could be (the only reason I'm dinging a star).Feed giraffes, get up close with kangaroos, water ride through the aquarium, check out the albino alligator, and lunch next to flamingoes, this is a highly recommended review for the Wildlife World Zoo.Donate if you can. I know they are working to upgrade and improve what is already a pretty amazing place.

I was born and raised in the Phoenix area and have been to the Phoenix Zoo many times but this was my first time here. This place was great for a number of reasons. The sea life and aquarium were a huge draw. My family really enjoyed the sea lion show. We were there on a warm day so getting splashed was actually very refreshing. If you haven’t been here, it’s definitely worth checking out. My kids are already talking about the next trip!

This is a nice zoo and aquarium with several "rides" available that are good for both kids and adults. You need a lot of time and endurance if you visit all the exhibits and buildings. You also need a lot of money. Adult entry is $48 each, and rides are not included. Each ride is $6 per person, and includes a train, a sky ride (lift chairs), tram, merry-go-rounds (2), log ride, and kids coaster. For $20/hour, you can rent a "Rydable," which is an animal figured power chair type thing, but it is limited in several areas. For $20, you can also rent a wheelchair. Most of the park walkways are graveled, making it dusty and challenging depending on your shoe selection. This also affects accessibility for wheelchairs, the disabled, and strollers, so be warned. Food and drink items are moderately priced, but not all food venues were open. Not all rides and exhibit buildings were open during our visit either. If you're a "zoo person," you'll like this one, but I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites due to the physical size and effort it took to see everything. I could see cost being an issue for families too.

Loved this zoo! The only thing I didn't like was that they had so many birds! I like to see more animals, not birds, but that's just my opinion. The aquarium was awesome too! My favorites were the giraffes (you can feed them too- only 50 cents!!) And the 2 baby monkeys!! Oh so adorable!! Wish they had more baby animals in the nursery. They also have a few rides to go on, I recommend going on a couple of them (to rest! As there is a lot of walking involved).

It's my favorite zoo in AZ. I've been coming to this zoo since I was a kid. Now I'm taking my kids to enjoy this amazing place. The zoo has added more rides and new exhibits. The aquarium is awesome. People get to touch the stingrays and starfish. They have scooters for the people who don't want to walk, wheelchairs and strollers for rent. They have a couple of food courts around the property and Dillon's restaurant. The zoo also has a huge playground for the kids to enjoy. We bought the yearly membership pass, and we will be visiting more often.

So much fun! A couple of us mommies had a girl's day with our daughters. My favorites were the sea lion show where we can feed the sea lions and take photos. My other favorite were the squirrel monkeys. The lions were very vocal and I personally think their habitat was small, hopefully it led out to a larger area that I could not see.
Didi A — Google review
This zoo is awesome for the desert climate. There are a ton of shade trees, and more exhibits than we could take in during one visit. I was lucky enough to win 2 adult tickets on Real Country Radio, so we only had to pay for my boyfriend's son. It's a little pricey, but so is everything these days. It was well worth it! Will enjoy going back to see the rest! The photo is a snake aquarium, I loved the mirror effect at the top of the water. At first I thought it was some kind of anomaly like a siamese twin snake 🤔🤣🤣
Karen S — Google review
Highly recommend you purchase your tickets on Groupon! Bought my tickets for $35.99 each adult. They charge $48 at the door, so we saved big with 4 adults! We spent about 6 hours at the park today and had a blast! My mother in law and sister in law have never been to a zoo so this was their first time. They loved it! To start, we went through the amazing bird section they have, oh and monkeys. Jumped on the zip line ride for $10 a person and it’s a two person ride. We went to the Free Sea Lion presentation which was pretty cool to see the relationship the sea lions have with the trainer here. We then jumped on the Sky Ride which was $6 per person and was about a 20 minute ride. Very MUCH WORTH IT!! We went over a bunch of different animals including Giraffes, Kangaroos, Camels, Ducks, Turtles, and Warthogs to name a few. We fed snacks to the Giraffes!! So much to do here and such a great way to spend a day with your loved ones.

Best zoo and aquarium I’ve ever been to.So many exhibits. Even though it was a hot day, all of the animals were out and active. We went on a Sunday. I was expecting there to be crowds everywhere. But there was hardly anyone there. The employees were very friendly. There are a few spots where you can purchase food. A “little bit” pricey, but not a deal breaker.Only thing I would do differently next time I go visit is head to the wildlife sections in the morning and then visit the aquariums in the afternoon when it starts to get warmer.I’d definitely recommend going here!

The Boulders Golf Club provides a serene golfing experience amidst stunning natural scenery. The course is challenging yet enjoyable, featuring well-maintained fairways surrounded by the unique desert terrain and its wildlife. This resort is an ideal getaway for those seeking relaxation and immersion in nature.
WOW Top 5 Golf Course in Arizona for me. This course has it all. Great service, from the food service, cart/starters Marshals to pro staff too. North Golf course is laid out almost perfect, it’s challenging, yet gettable. Definitely a course to play North of Scottsdale you will not be disappointed.

Played Boulders South Golf Course and had the most enjoyable round. The course is challenging but forgiving. The course was in good condition but the greens were a bit disappointing since it appears they were punched recently. The staff was friendly and the amenities were nice but aimed for resort guests more than golf guests. Would definitely play again.

Very, very beautiful resort in a very beautiful location. Casitas & Haciendas are tucked into the landscape surrounding a gorgeous golf course. Giant boulders in unusual, stacked positions surround the entire resort. Peaceful grounds with a host of birds pleasantly sing out. I loved The Grill restaurant. Best of all, I think they have the friendliest staff I've encountered in the many, many resorts I've visited. It's a little ways north from Scottsdale, but worth the drive. 5 stars in my opinion.

I played the South course recently and thought it was beautiful. Note the price of the course does not appear on the reservation confirmation. I was a bit surprised to see the fees were $775 for two of us, and was told it was "dynamic pricing". To top it off, the hitting range is matts, not grass. I give the course a 5 but adjusted for price, a 3. Don't think I'll return anytime.

Stunning. Far and away the most beautiful golf courses i've ever hit. I had three perfect days and golfed both courses. What a treat! The pro shop has outstanding shirts, top shelf club covers, and killer hats! Staff was waaay friendly and helpful. One person in the twosome behind us hit a hole in one and got a commemorative flag. Super cool 😎The course is marked well, but signage is minimal. It is very refreshing to have courteous and helpful people, not a bunch of signs, ropes, and directional arrows. Very clean and neat. It's worth every single penny, and I wouldn't do anything different except to stay longer next time. Sincere thanks to The Boulders®️ staff.

Excellent! This is an excellent track and one of my new favorites. The views were incredible and conditions were great. It is a tough course though. We played from the tips which probably made it more difficult for my game but, was an amazing day!

I'm local and play a lot of golf in the summer months for the cheaper rates. I have never seen a golf course with such little access to water. 2 stations on the entire course is not acceptable when its 110deg+, we were told we would see the beverage cart frequently.... after not seeing beverage cart or a water station thru the first 6 holes we had to call the proshop... only saw the beverage cart 2 times during the entire 4.5hr round. this is not acceptable for $180 round... I'm not even going to get into the pricing once we did see a beverage cart...

Beautiful vistas. Difficult course due to narrow fairways with an unforgiving desert area and small greens guarded with bunkers. Nevertheless, $400 fees to play 18 holes on Boulder South is ridiculous. Greens are municipal course graded. Starter told a story of how they were restored 18 months ago. They simply have not matured. Have not played on worse greens in the last 15 years. Bumpy, will not hold from long or short distance, and illegible due to heterogeneity of grade and speed. Ball washers are full of muddy water. Towels on ball washers have likely not been changed for weeks as they are all dirty. Beers on the course are $14 and waters are $9 dollars. GPS on golf cart was significantly different than yardage marked on course sprinkler heads as well as downloaded app. There is minimal interactivity with GPS on golf cart display compared to what is the standard at other courses. There are so many other places to play in the Scottsdale area that are of greater value (<$$$) and better experience.

Course conditions fantastic.Staff was amazing.Price on snacks from cart lady…appalling.$44 on what would have been $18-20 at a convenience store. It was the most I’ve ever paid at a golf course for Gatorade and snacks.
BJ M — Google review
It is beautiful! Both North and South courses.North: beautiful landscape. Almost like a desert garden between the tee box and the fairway on every hole, including the ladies most forward tees. Usually the only scenery you get is from the pro tip. You definitely need to carry or you will ended up in the mini desert garden.South course: awesome boulders, much narrower. More of a target golf. If you spray left or right, it is over. Very different feel than the North. Different feels, different challenges and I love them both.It can get expensive so check teeoff.com for a discount rates.

Agree with Adam who posted previously. This is a beautiful Scenic course with typical “resort course” layout, fairways were okay but otherwise poorly maintained. It’s a shame, and not worth the money…..greens are not rolled at all, very bumpy, uneven grass patch growth, did not putt true at all. Tee boxes were poly maintained With uneven, long grass and divots. I was very disappointed…staffs were awesome though. But Overall, very poor golf experience. Will not play here again with this condition!

Crazy views of some incredible rock structures. Front 9 is tough and tight. Back 9 opens up and is really fun. GPS in the carts is old and doesn't do much for you. Fairways and greens are firm. Awesome course to see some wild desert golf views.

Even though the temperature was in the 110's, the course was in spectacular condition. The view from every tee is awe- inspiring, and the natural beauty is comforting. The service there is top class, even if you're renting clubs! Take the time to enjoy your round, the views, and the people. I plan to go back, but in February!😉

Friendly check-in staff until I hit the first tee. I'm a +1 handicap and the starter was a bit uppity about telling him I play from the tips. He made a big deal about it, demonstratively radioing in to announce someone wanted to play from the tips. Arrogantly asked me if I was a scratch golfer. After giving me his advice not to hit beyond 280 yards or I'm in trouble, he stood on the tee box with me as I teed off. I hit about 305 to a spot dead center of the fairway. He seemed irked.Conditions of the tee box and fairways were marginal at best. Greens looked nice but were painfully slow. Pace of play was dreadful. In my opinion not worth the money.
Ryan L — Google review
Despite some concerning recent reviews, I decided to give the Boulders a chance given its excellent reputation. Man, was that a mistake. The total cost for 18 holes was $390. The tee boxes were brown and consisted of a great deal of dirt. The greens were rock solid, spray painted green, and had weed-type growth throughout. It was infuriating that this place would even consider charging as much as they do with the conditions being so horrendous. I'm writing this in late January 2024 so be very cautious about booking here unless you can get assurances about the conditions improving.
Adam — Google review
Is it beautiful? Yes. Are the greens in such poor shape that it's going to affect my 20 handicap putting? No. But please heed the warnings in these reviews as they are all true.Every course within a 50 mile radius has views. It's Arizona. If you want to pay an extra $200 to look at some cool rock formations then this is the course for you. Greens definitely are not great, and I often couldn't get my tee into the tee box. Carts are something you'd find at any muni. Range was nice. The price they charge is the problem. The gall to charge $350 for this course is laughable. Better options out there for far cheaper. So if $300+ isn't pocket change for you, look elsewhere.
Joshua G — Google review
All of the reviews make this place out to be a disgrace and a terrible course. This was not the case, but I wouldn’t say it was amazing. The course is not bad, but for the 350 green fee it is a little overpriced. The greens weren’t great and there were some bare spots on a few tee boxes, the rough was non existent except around the green. But fairways were in good shape. Basically for the same price you could play lots of other courses in the area that are just in better shape. The scenery was great but I’m not sure if it’s enough to make up for the conditions or make me want to come back versus playing other courses.
Nikos R — Google review
"Boulders South Coursewas a great experience. The course runs through a nice neighborhood in Scottsdale Valley, providing great views of boulders with plenty of cacti. Upon arrival we decided to check out the pro shop, bar and warm up facilities. The pro shop was spacious and great selection of merchandise. Decent sized practice putting green. Also a really good chipping area to warm up on. Large driving range for those drives that are sliced! The course itself had some spots requiring extended travel between greens and tees, so a cart was very useful! You are spread out nicely between tee times, making the experience of the course what you want it to be. The scenery was incredibly especially on the front 9. SOme of the rock features was just spectacular. You can stay at one of the cabins on the resort property, with entertainment from the many pools, bars, or small hikes. For the men and women that love spas, they have a top rated experience. My wife loved it when she went for a day and said she would be going back. Overall, the Boulders was a great experience and if I am in the area again I will definitely be playing it again!"

Always a great time when we play. One of the most picturesque courses in the country. Not a fan of the new water tax. Just add it to the rate since it is part of your cost of doing business.

Westgate Entertainment District is a sprawling shopping complex with national retailers, restaurants, and live music on weekends. The recreation center has nice public restrooms, a splash pad for kiddos, and a bowling alley in one restaurant. There are many good restaurants here to try. The lively atmosphere makes it a great place to spend some time.
Went to As You Wish Pottery for Father's Day. The service was amazing, the options to paint are ENDLESS with so many cute fun conversational pieces. The staff shown such amazing hospitality and was extremely helpful. It's a great place for some fun family self care with art and where each person can express their artistic side AND not to mention some family keepsakes ❣️ My sons father and I painted 16oz coffee cups and our son painted a guitar. We will definitely be returning. Make your appointment ahead of time as there is limited seating.

Nice candy shop and lots of good restaurants. A great shopping district if you like this type of mall. Personally I prefer the old style mall under one roof and air-conditioned this is an open air mall with a theater in the center and lots of little shops and eateries. It is much less chain-y with more independent stores but a mall is mall is a mall. I'm just glad they have the artisans market every Saturday from September through December. That's where you will find unique ooak items hand crafted and usually a really small carbon footprint! Small businesses make the world go round. Support your local artists!!

This place is nice and comfortable but the food is very expensive for what you get. Nothing special I’ve had better food in cheaper places. They need to invest in the cooks to get these prices it cool for date night if your not going to eat are drink.

So many things to do. With your family, by yourself. Grab some food at a bar and grill, get entertained with an escape room, buy some sugary treats or cute souvenirs. Even just walk around at the beautiful holiday sights and festivities decorated year-round!

Super cool place! They had everything from Axe throwing to bowling and tons of cool and unique bars. When we visited there was a car show going on, I’m sure they host cool events like this frequently.

Attended a conference at the Renaissance hotel. It’s located within the Westgate complex. The Westgate Entertainment District is a massive complex with dozens of restaurants. Never experienced anything at the scale. It’s worth the visit.

State Farm Stadium, located in the Glendale Sports and Entertainment District, is a major stadium that can seat over 63,000 people. This venue features a retractable roof and hosts NFL Cardinals games as well as other events such as Mecum Auto auctions. The seating arrangements are comfortable even at cheaper prices, although the rows may be slightly narrow compared to other stadiums.
Wanted to kill some time while at a baseball tourney and this was a cheap and convenient stop. We loved the stadium. The fact that the field is real grass that lives outside the stadium and is moved into place prior to game time is mind blowing! Our tour guide "uncle Kevin" was quite the character. We highly recommend .

I had a wonderful experience at the stadium seeing the Rolling Stones in concert. The stadium was very nice, clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the “foot long” hotdog and a few other items, they were all great! The seats were decent for comfort being plastic. Being 6’2” there was enough leg room. Each seat has a cup holder mounted in the seat in front of it which I wasn’t a fan of because plenty of people kept reaching back and their arms were touching our drinks (seems like that problem was all over the stadium). Overall my family and I had a great experience. We would definitely go back to that stadium and recommend anyone else to go visit.

I have been to this stadium a number of times for different events. The most recent being for the Metallica concert. Thank you for being air-conditioned! The weekend weather was recorded as record-breaking. Great way to beat the heat. It is very clean and easy to navigate inside the venue. Plenty of restrooms, which, too, are clean and taken care of. Also, there's plenty of parking available, however, not always available... Depending on the event taking place at the time. 🏢🌃🚗🚙🕐🌛🌞🏈🎤🎶

First time at the State Farm Stadium. Arrived early to tailgate all day, parking was a breeze, and we got a great shaded spot! Great place to tailgate. Inside, the AC felt so good! Wish they had a ramp or stairs to go up to the top levels bc the escalator lines were pretty ridiculous! Otherwise, we had the best time watching the Detroit Lions beat the Cardinals today!!! 💙🦁🤘

State Farm Stadium: Wanted to change it up a bit and decided a stadium tour was just the ticket…scored bigger when it ended up being an impromptu private tour! Guides Mario and Carolina were an absolute pleasure, both wealths of knowledge on the stadium and the team. Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had.

I don't even know where to start with this review. Just wow! I moved to Arizona from Wisconsin recently. Obviously I'm a Packer fan number 1. However, I have to rep my new home in Phoenix and the Arizona Cardinals are now part of my squad. State Farm Stadium is absolutely amazing and gorgeous. I took a tour one of the first days that I got here. The day after the Rolling Stones performed. I was just in awe of it's architecture and history. This is my second NFL Stadium that I have been to, Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin being the first. I have to admit....State Farm Stadium might have Lambeau Field beat in my book! GO CARDS! PROTECT THE NEST! 😉

Very nice comfortable stadium didn't like only one level sold food n drinks. Went to Ravens game from Baltimore we don't have a closed stadium. Loves how cool n comfortable there statium was. Also likes how there tailgating party's are all on a field not in parking lot. In Baltimore we actually tailgate so not complaining we go HARD

Went to Luke Combs concert on 06/01/24 and had floor seats. The chairs used were a bit outdated like and felt like they were about to break! I am a big guy too (6'1", 240) but still could have used some newer ones! Other than that, the stadium is amazing and even though the concert brought a lot of people it was still a cool temp inside and clean. The bathrooms were clean and going in and out of the stadium was smooth. Can't wait to go for a game there and see how the crowds get fired up! Really recommend any event here!!!

I learned an important lesson at The Rolling Stones show tonight. After wasting my money on tickets to see an iconic band for the third time, I learned……NEVER ATTEND A CONCERT AT THIS VENUE!!The parking was managed well and rather pricey. Since it was not optional, we paid the $30. Getting in was okay, getting out was a breeze, as you will understand below. The signage in our area was wrong, seriously an error on the printed section sign, which led to some confusion. Why has no one printed a new sign? The seats were comfy enough and the cup holders were a plus. There was even more legroom than an airplane. The opening act (fun fact: he is from Hermosillo, Mexico) sounded awful. We presumed it was because they had no experience with big venues. We just sort ignored it and watched the crowd filter in.Then the opening moment. Time to “Start Me Up” for a loud, fun show. But it wasn’t. Immediately we noticed the reverberation and delay of every beat. We noticed that the words did not line up with what we could see. This was particularly disappointing, as we had decided at the moment we sat down - “it’s okay, we are here for the music”.The reason we resigned ourselves to just listening to the music will be evident in the attached photo. We purchased 417 row E seats 3&4 very intentionally. See, I have bad feet and cannot stand on them for long periods. So we wanted to be able to remain seated during the show. We chose seats that were on the handrail. They were NOT marked “obstructed view” and there was no reason (looking at the seating diagram) to believe they were less than ideal. They were the same, expensive, price as all the seats in that region. Yet, they clearly did not offer the same viewing experience. Between handrails, safety glass, show-watching ushers and confused guests looking for their seats (remember the error on the sign?), we saw a VERY OBSTRUCTED view of the stage, screens, catwalk, etc.Since we couldn’t really see the show, and the sound of the music was awful……. we left during the fourth song.Exiting the parking area was easy! No lines, a visible exit sign near our row and easy access to the freeway. There was a steady stream of people walking out the exit doors and driving away from what could have been a momentous event. But instead was an expensive frustration. You read this long review for advice, so here’s my advice-Do not spend money on tickets for a concert at this sports venue. Use the same money to upgrade your stereo system and you will have a better listening experience.

The Rolling Stones on 7 May 2024.I knew traffic was going to be brutal, but dam! Poor parking attendants were working their butts off, yet saw 2 moto cops sitting on their bikes surfing on their phones not doing ANY traffic control!Great show, except for 2 things:1. Why the Specific City shirts weren't being sold at the show?2. [And I KNEW this was going to be an issue, because how old the crowd was - And I'm 54]. People upset that I was standing & they were sitting. I, as well as you, paid good money for those seats! If others are standing in my line of sight, I'm going to stand so I can see! Plus it's a rock n roll show.I'll be the first to acknowledge that if ALL are sitting around me, then I would sit, but this instance there were others standing in the isle next to my sight line thus I stood so I could see! But I did sit a few times, even though I couldn't see! This is just what happens at concerts!

The Musical Instrument Museum, or MIM, is a paradise for music enthusiasts. It houses an extensive collection of instruments and artifacts from approximately 200 countries. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of music through live performances and interactive experiences. The museum features five geographic galleries showcasing instruments from different global regions, an experience gallery where guests can play instruments, and a mechanical music gallery displaying unique self-playing instruments.
Wow! Had such a fantastic time here. There are instruments from all over the world grouped by country or genre. You get audio devices that let you listen to the music from each section as you pass along. There’s a room of interactive instruments at the end by the cafe. The museum is well curated and organized. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Phoenix.

There is so much to see here! The audio box with headphones provides a guided tour with a lot of information. There is a room with many instruments that can be played and touched, but the museum overall isn't ideal for young children. Recommended for anyone interested in musical instruments and history. Very large collection from all over the world.

If I'm being honest, I didn't even know that greater Phoenix had a Musical Instrument Museum until I participated in a corporate training at the location; and I was impressed. This location was gorgeous, well maintained, had helpful staff, and was somewhere that I would like to visit again with my family. I can't speak on costs, etc. as that was covered in our corporate training, but I can say that this is, in my opinion, a "should-visit" location for anyone who finds themselves in the greater Phoenix region.

Holy. Cow. I could spend WEEKS in this place. I came to see the Octobasse after seeing Rob Scallon and Davie504 playing it on YouTube. That instrument alone was worth the visit, but there's SO MUCH MORE.I don't really even know where to begin. There's so much history and so many unique things that you just won't find anywhere else. If you like music or you like history, you will definitely find something interesting.Every employee I interacted with at the museum was amazing and clearly had a passion for music. I got into several great conversations with employees and appreciated their knowledge and excitement.

If you're visiting (or living) in The Valley, you will guaranteed be thrilled to visit the MIM. There's no other place quite like it. Significant musical instruments from literally every corner of the planet, live shows, captivating displays with lots of audio content all housed in magnificent architecture. This should be a must-visit for anyone in the southwest US. Prepare for an amazing and unforgettable journey and plan on making multiple visits. There's a lot to be enthralled by. It's that good. I didn't think there would be much to see here and I was really happy to be wrong! Thousands of instruments, plus various clothing items all arranged thoughtfully in a cohesive, sprawling display. Workers were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. When you go in, you're given a headset that will connect to displays all through the museum and let you hear the instruments being played, or interviews with people who are proficient in playing certain instruments, and more. There's a room where you can go play instruments, including banging drums and gongs, strumming guitars and harps, and zinging across xylophones. There a room of mechanical instruments (player pianos, nickelodeons, etc.) and a demonstration twice daily of their largest, most impressive piece. The only suggestion I would make is in the Artist Gallery: include more women. Where's the Dolly Parton display? Nina Simone? Janis Joplin?Other than that it's an excellent museum. There's a lot to see but it's not overwhelming. It's very mobility handicap friendly with wide walkways for wheelchairs, flat surfaces so you don't have to worry about tripping with your cane or walker, and two large elevators that you can easily turn a sheelchair around in. I'm not sure if a scooter would turn around as easily but we saw two or three people there with scooters and they didn't seem to be having trouble navigating.People with noise and light sensitivity might have some trouble. The noise isn't too bad but the floors are light colored wood and highly polished so if you have trouble with bright light reflecting off surfaces you might have trouble. It's not nearly as bad as the bright white floors at Target.Overall a great experience. The artifacts, displays, and staff were all great.

A museum built in 2010. A refreshing topic to see, hear, and encounter! Over 10,000 instruments. The building is divided into geographic areas from around the world. Each area is represented with several interactive videos. You get to see the instruments in front of you, as well as see and hear each played in its original country. Headsets are needed to hear each video. There is an area where one can play many instruments. Children and adults can do this. $20 admission fee for adults. Even the food is good! If you like music.... of ANY KIND... This is worth the time!

I loved this place, what a fantastic and informative museum. The integration of the music itself in each of the exhibits so you can hear the music from the instruments you’re looking at is great, and the philosophy of the museum of what kinds of music and instruments you can see is great. Add to it the museum itself is beautiful and the staff are all so welcoming and friendly, I can see why this place ranks so high on the recommendations of things to do. I highly recommend.

The museum totally exceeded my expectations. A phenomenal experience which I highly recommend. It will take one full day to see everything. I went mid-afternoon so will return another time. I would imagine that every instrument that exists in the world is displayed here, buy country. What made it so enjoyable was that you go through the exhibits with headphones. You listen to the music of the instruments you're viewing.

JUST GO!!! I come from a musical family, but never thought before "Gee, I think I'd like to visit a music museum". My dad wanted to go while visiting for a few days, so we went and took our little ones. The experience was well-worth the price. I recommend spending the day. There are so many exhibits to see, and they're divided by continent, country and region. My youngest is about two and she really enjoyed it. They have headsets that are interactive with videos of various cultures playing the instruments on display. They even have them for the youngest observers. My toddler really loved walking up to the televisions and listening to the music with the headsets.

This is a wonderful experience for ALL ages!!! The Experience Exhibit is a fantastic room where children and adults can play with many of the instruments seen throughout the museum. Highly recommend stopping if you're looking for an, at your own pace, adventure. Almost all of the exhibits provide attendees the ability to listen to and see the instruments being played in their natural environment. For listening, the museum provides the wireless receiver and wired headset. We spent almost three hours here!!!

This was an amazing museum! There were so many amazing things to do and see here! To start off, there is a huge collection on the second floor describing the music of almost every country in every continent. It was amazing to learn so much about so many different types of music! There is two areas downstairs describing some famous music artists and some music machines that make music all on their own. However, my favorite area downstairs was a musical instrument room, where you could try an assorted variety of many different musical instruments. Overall, this was an amazing museum!

Amazing experience. Most all genres of music and instruments were displayed with sampling of video s. Headphones were available to hear music and explanations. My only disappointment was omission of adequate coverage of Bob Wills, ( fiddler band leader) and Western swing ( genre) still popular today.

What a gem! We spent 4 hours here and could have seen more, the museum is so big. Each themed exhibit had just the right amount of instruments, artifacts, and descriptions. It was great that each person can go to whatever exhibit they are interested in and get the full experience with their own provided headphones. There is even an experience room where you can play numerous instruments, including a theramin. I wish we had known about the cafe, we would have eaten lunch there. I highly recommend this museum and experience.

Taliesin West, an architecture school campus in the Sonoran Desert founded by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is now more accessible than ever following ADA-compliant upgrades. Daily tours offer guests a glimpse into Wrights ingenious designs and his ability to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces.
Beautiful space, short interesting audio tour. You can enjoy it without any prior knowledge of Frank Loyd Wright. If you’re a fan, or interested in space planning, design, construction, craftsmanship, or art you will enjoy it. Find a friend, bring your spouse, take a teenager, make your co-worker step away from their desk, skip the conference for an hour, or guarantee your first date leads to a second date. Go. But get your tickets ahead of time.

It was pretty expensive and no AARP, AAA, or senior discounts! I guess that's what it takes to maintain... it was a good experience to see a Frank Lloyd Wright property. It would have been nice to walk the grounds however it was corded off. Thanks for the free use of the red umbrella!

It's one thing to see Frank Lloyd Wright's work in photographs and books, but being able to experience the site yourself is an incredible experience. The audio tour can be a bit long-winded at times, but the detail and context it adds are more than worth it, and I have to imagine the guided tours are even better. The structures themselves are simple and elegant, a great example of Wright's vision of organic architecture, and the original and period furnishing help to fill out the vision for Taliesin West. The caretakers on site are friendly and knowledgeable as well. Well worth the time and expense to stop by if you're near Phoenix, and worth a trip if you're not.

My wife and I love Frank Lloyd Wright's work, so we were thrilled to be able to tour Taliesan West while in Scottsdale for a school reunion. What an amazing place! We just missed the docent-led tours since they are unavailable during the summer months. The audio tour was a great option. The 16 stops give a good overview of the camp Wright created as a home away from home. Be sure to plan for the heat. There are umbrellas you can borrow for shade, but you'll still experience the desert when you're outside. You are allowed a bottle of water. There are public restrooms in the visitors center and store. I noticed some accommodations for wheelchairs, but there were a few places such access could be tricky. We bought our tickets online and had no issues with the app download. I had to restart the app a few times during the tour due to lag time, but was always able to get back to the track I wanted.

We did the audio tour and it was fantastic! The whole space is gorgeous, and getting to hear some of the stories in Mr. Wright’s own words is illuminating.I fully intend to return for one of the guided tours because it’s worth taking it all in many times and in multiple ways.Note that there are shallow stairs but also plenty of accessible ramps. There are some uneven surfaces (fine gravel in particular) and low ceilings (about 6 feet in some areas).

My friend and I visited during the week. It was a little hot but our tour guide Frank, funnily enough absolutely crushed it. He was extremely well versed and knowledgeable on the grounds and answered any questions we had. He also seemed happy to be showing people around all the time, which is a problem I run into with most tour guides. If you're interested in architecture or the man himself, absolutely do it

For fans of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, this is a great place to visit and admire his genius. I recently visited during Discovery Day and, although it was a self-guided "tour," staff and volunteers were present throughout the grounds to guide and answer questions with great passion, excitement, and knowledge.I found the architecture and overall ambience to be very emotionally moving. I absolutely loved that the buildings were built using what could be found on the land, which undoubtedly added to my feeling grounded and connected to the earth. The thought, planning, and preparation that went into creating this "compound" was meticulous, and its restoration and upkeep stay true to Wright's original intent. The many sculptures on the property add to the overwhelming feeling of innumerable creatives having walked the same steps I was. I felt very welcomed by the area and the people. The gift shop offers a wide and affordable selection of gifts, souvenirs, jewelry, and books for all ages.I will return for a guided tour and for evening events, which I was assured would take my breath away with the way the area is lighted.

Great place to visit an iconic site design and lived in by Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s a must see if you’re in Scottsdale Arizona or around the Phoenix area. Our tour guy Justine did an excellent job moved us along, but yet gave us quite a few details about he and his wife’s life. A true architectural gem located in the desert great gift shop with many different choices, including shirts, posters, jewelry Stainglass greeting cards books I would recommend. Getting tickets in advance very easy to order and pay for online and then you simply walk up to the ticket desk give your last name and they give you a sticker for your tour. We took the guided tour and would highly recommend it. It’s inside and outside be prepared for the heat, but the inside is cool. Water bottles are allowed and the umbrellas are provided to help with the outside weather. It even has a Georgia O’Keefe Frank Lloyd Wright American icon display within the museum itself so two museums for the price of one. The Frank Lloyd Wright homes do not fall under the category of seen one seen them all each one is unique in a design as he feathered his study with nature.

We had a tour for Taliesin West. I could not believe how interesting it was. In Los Angeles we had visited the Ennis House and the Hollyhock House. In the words of Frank Lloyd Wright, “to make life more beautiful, the world a better one for living in, and to give reason, rhyme, and meaning to life.” Wright decided he wanted a more permanent winter residence in Arizona.Everything was very educational on the tour. Our guide was amazing and educational and encouraged everyone to ask as many questions as we wanted. At the end of the tour was The Cabaret Theater I think that was my favorite rooms. We also got to see The Special Exhibition American Icons. Wright and O'Keeffe.I would highly recommend visiting Taliesin West! I also recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

It absolutely exceeded my expectations! Being in a place that Frank Lloyd Wright himself designed and spent so much time and was such an amazing experience. The pictures I took don't do it justice, it was absolutely breathtaking and I can't wait to go back again.

Oh, how I love Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture. This was a winter camp for him, his family and students. Originally no glass and canvas tops. They would roll up the canvas and store when they were gone back to Taliesin. I took so many photos. The walking audio tour was perfect and I could take my time as I walked through. My favorite buy in the gift shop was a stone to write on with water. Of course it would dry and disappear. "The art of creating and letting go". This is a highlight to my trip to Phoenix.

Visited with my dad and daughter. We all love different aspects if design and architecture and were all thrilled with the audio tour.My dad had visited back in the 60's and thoroughly enjoyed the modern docent information.

We took the self guided audio tour and it was perfect. It was fascinating to imagine the area being desolate when construction began, and the effort it took to complete it. I know absolutely nothing about architecture, but I enjoyed this hour completely. There are several other works of his across the country and I hope to see them. Well worth the admission.

Went to the FLW Discovery Day at Taliesin. An hour self guided tour with a docent in each area to chat with. $5.00 for adults (Discovery Day is twice a year) and so well worth it! We asked inside/outside,and the museum shop is one of the best around. Again we'll worth the $5, however, I wouldn't go during regular days because the cost is ridiculous.

It was my wife and daughter who knew of Frank Lloyd Wright and wanted to visit this place. And although none of us are architects, we all enjoyed the audio tour of this very unique oasis building out in the Scottsdale desert. A short drive to the edge of town and a very interesting place to spend an hour or so.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, located in Scottsdale and operated by the city's Parks & Recreation Department, is a 40-acre park featuring a railroad museum and various exhibits. The park offers miniature train rides, jungle gyms, and a 10,000-sq.-ft. model railroad display. Visitors can enjoy attractions such as the Paradise & Pacific Railroad with steam locomotives and diesel engines, as well as the beautifully restored Scottsdale Charros Carousel.
We are staying in Mesa AZ and went to the park with our friend Leslie and her two niece's. The park is very nice with train exhibits as well as train rides and a carousel. The park is free as are the exhibits but you do have to pay for the rides. That have 2 train rides with one being much smaller. The train is a small steam powered unit and rides around the park. It is a lot of fun for both big and little kids. The train exhibits are also nice as you get to walk through restored rail cars .They also have a nice gift shop and snack shop that sells ice cream and a few other treats. Worth a visit especially if you have kids

Fun time for the family at a reasonable price. The mini train sets are amazing.the Halloween experience was great for the entire family. Scary enough for little ones and children alike. Saw so many great costumes and had an enjoyable time on the train ride. Spooky train ride I should say. Even during regular business hours the place has a great park for kids to run around and tire themselves out at.of you haven't been check them out you will have a blast!

What a great experience! There are several small museums for free including one inside an actual train. All were interesting and educational; however, the model train museum was absolutely AWESOME. I was immediately blown away at how big the exhibit was. There was a component of magic in the air as I carefully and intentionally viewed each, very detailed, scene. You can tell there was a lot of effort and care put into it. There were even interactive components! There are donation receptacles throughout which gives you a special thanks when you donate-which was a nice surprise and made it feel more special. However, this is a free exhibit and I highly recommend visiting!

Great place for kids and families to unwind and have fun.Keep in mind that weekend afternoons will be crowded. The park usually has many events and they are advertised on banners in advance around the park.If you enjoy museums or historic looking buildings you'll enjoy this place as well. They have a snack shop, ice cream and gift shop. If you want a bigger or more filling bite to eat there is a path under the road that goes to the plaza across the street which has restaurants. The train ride is fun to bring your kids on. The kids get really involved in waving to everyone and listening to the train whistle. It's also very reasonably priced at the moment $3.00 a ticket for an about 10 min ride. You definetely need to go there once to at least see what it has to offer.

Super cute place to take children of all ages. They have several little things that can tend to everyone’s general “likes” regarding what this park offers. Definitely safe and I highly recommend for small children. Tickets are $3 per person to ride the train and is charged separately from the carousel. Train has a fairly decent ride time. It is HOT, maybe don’t go during peak summer hours.

Even after reading so many positive reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by this park. It was beautiful, clean and had such a peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere. The rides were fun and a great length. The museum model trains were very impressive. You could easily spend several hours there without spending any money. The kids didn't want to leave.
Melody D — Google review
This park is nice for 2 to 3 visits. It's big, so there is plenty of space to walk and play. The old west play area is cute and fun for kids. The play structures are a bit run down and poorly maintained, and the trains themselves have yet to be opened when we have gone. This is overdue, but I do want to share now in hopes that whoever is decorating this year, considers the age to which the event is marketed to:We went to the Halloween paid event in 2022. It was a family event, marketed as "spooky fun" for young children. However, the decorations were definitely not child appropriate! It was scary even for some adults (including me!), and many were covering their young children's eyes. As you can image (see photos), there were a lot of very scared and crying kids and angry parents, including us. My kids, 5 and 8, had nightmares for days.

This was engaging for the whole family which is hard to come by at an affordable price. I would highly recommend the train ride. The museum was probably my favorite and so detailed. I can’t wait to come back with my in-laws. My kids 2,5,&9 all had a wonderful time.

Well if you're into the trains of any scale ho or any scale at all this is the place to be. a great place to teach your kids of how trains work and be able to understand them at the same time be able to have a great picnic play in the park throw the football around play on the different jungle gyms that they have that are very extensive. They also have a model train area as well as gifts and gift shop. The staff has always the knowledge available to be able to answer my questions when I'm there. They pay attention to detail. The place is clean and neat. Well kept up and I will definitely return here.

This is an amazing place!I especially appreciate the models room! You can still see people at work building stuff! Very interactive and fun to explore. You can easily spend a few hours there and have not seen it all. "It's never too late to have a happy childhood!"I feel like a giant peering through the town of awesome-ville and her people.Visit the Park early in the morning to avoid the heat. The holidays light is awesome, too!The train ride is cool! The playground is awesome!Don't forget to visit the store for some delicious ice cream.People working there are nice, professional, and friendly!Thank you so much for this awesome place!

This was our first visit, and it did not disappoint! Multiple playgrounds for kids, and multiple restrooms. There are also drinking fountains and at least one has a water bottle refill spot. The museum parts and the models are so fun and there are a million details to enjoy! Plus, who doesn't like carousel and train rides? Highly recommend for all ages!

Was great ! Even if you don't like trains. Plenty of picnic areas for your family. Super clean restrooms. I was about to leave when I noticed a building, I was so amazed !It was the highlight of the park to me. They pretty much had every scale of train sets there inside of the building. That was the highlight of the park for me !!! Definitely go check it out !!!

I feel like what I read about this place did NOT do it justice! You can walk through a Pullman passenger train, see three HUGE model train setups that are interactive where the kids can wave to make trains go. It was absolutely incredible! The have a playground and a small play jail. The train loop was pretty large, but the train itself is just benches, but only $3/person. We spent about 2 hours here but could have easily spent 3-4.

Not a huge place but plenty of space for a quick train ride and trip around the carousel. Great for easy bday party for kids. Nice sized playground and around Halloween they have a great setup for the train. Easy going day trip for the kids!

Free other than train and carousel. Playground and amazing model railroad display. Also can tour the presidential train car. Have a snack shop with $2 ice cream. Such a great place to visit!

Took our 2 littles to the train park today and they had a blast! There is a nice playground area for kids of all ages and a special area for younger kids. There are also a few other play spots throughout the park. The main playground area is in sand and has sail shades over it so it’s not in direct sunlight. Next year (summer of 2025) there will be a splash pad and a new train play structure! There is a carousel ($3/rider) and you can ride the train around the park too (also $3/rider). They have port-a-potty’s by the kids playground area and other restrooms indoors that are temperature-controlled. There is a really cool indoor train track setup that is interactive (place your hand over the sensor and something will move/light up/etc). There are lots of big trees throughout the park so bring a blanket and you can picnic in the shade :) There was plenty of parking available when we went (8:30-10:30am Sunday). They also have snack shops and gift shops.
Rebecca R — Google review
My son was very pleased. The steamer trains weren't running, but the model trains indoors were impressive. Many scales and awesome set up. We road the train twice. They were setting up for Halloween, and it was intriguing enough to convince us to return to see the spooky.

I heard about it but never went until this year, it is AMAZING! Took my 6 year old and we had a great time. Will go every year now. They have a cafe to get food and drinks, the train, the lights are fantastic for Christmas/ Holiday time. There is a carousel, they had a sleigh in front of a huge tree for pictures, etc. great experience.( Pictures edited to protect people's privacy. )

This park has so many things to offer! The miniature train building is spectacular, and will hold the interest of all ages. They really have spent a fortune re-creating landmarks from Arizona and incorporating 50 or more train sets throughout the coolest miniature cities you have ever seen. There’s lots to do outside as well. Definitely take the train ride. The carousel is also a big hit with the little ones. The playground is amazing, as well as the little western town. They spared no expense, and it’s obvious. Very affordable. Only buy the $12 day pass if you truly plan to ride everything several times. However, we found that buying eight tickets for $20 really was enough for four people.

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is a great destination for families and train enthusiasts alike. While the expansive playgrounds and picturesque train rides often steal the spotlight, one of the park's hidden gems is its impressive model train building.Inside this charming space, visitors can marvel at intricate displays that showcase meticulously crafted landscapes and detailed train setups. The level of artistry and craftsmanship is truly remarkable, with various themes and eras represented, transporting you through time and space. The attention to detail—from miniature towns to realistic scenery—provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of model railroading. The park’s knowledgeable staff and volunteer hobbyists often hosts demonstrations and events that enhance the experience, making it an engaging visit for both children and adults. Whether you're a die-hard train lover or just looking for a unique outing, the model train building at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is a must-see that deserves more recognition. It adds a rich layer of educational and artistic value to an already vibrant park.

Such a fun experience for someone of any age - I took myself here the other day and had a blast. With the train ride, museum, miniature train models, and so much more to explore this is a perfect place for anyone who likes trains.Bathrooms are a bit small and not everything here is accessible to everyone.I went on a Friday and it wasn’t too bad with being busy or crowded.
T H — Google review
It was misleading and overpriced for what they had available. There was NO CANDY handed out to the kids as advertised. All they had was the carousel, the train you ride, and the toy train display that only half worked. I feel that I was cheated and my son was cheated. Drove 45 min for something we could have missed. Would like a refund for my 7-year-old son that we chose to come here rather than traditional trick or treating. We will never come back and advise others to find other options for their kids

As a railroad fan, I love this place! The train ride is fun, and the model railroad building is great! The presidential Pullman rail coach that carried 4 presidents and where the NORAD defense treaty was signed is an amazing piece of history. The entire park is a lovely and fun place for both kids and kids at heart. Highly recommend!

Free entrance to the park area, a great playground, another wagon play area, wow!Add in a carousel that costs $3 per ride, and a cool train ride for $3 a ride (that goes around the whole park and has a fun section with Christmas decorations) and you got an awesome place! Our daughter loved it, she didn’t want to leave the playground she was having so much fun. The train and carousel was also a big hit! Their gift shop had very reasonable prices and we got a conductor hat that our daughter loved wearing. It was fairly crowded considering it was a Monday, but I can see why!

Loved our visit! We had a lot of fun! Everyone was so nice too. We went on the carousel, the train, snack stop for a sweet treat and went into the miniature train building. Then went to both playgrounds. Everything was great. Very impressed with the miniature trains and the kids had lots of fun too. And they loved both playgrounds. Had lots of fun. We'll be back.

Relaxing and exciting! So glad we stopped by while in town. We bought tickets at the window, only $30 per person and spent about 2 hours there. Soooo many beautiful butterflies flying right by you surrounded by lovely flowers & plants. They even have birds, chickens, reptiles, insects and a small aquarium! The staff was friendly, they have a small Cafe with snacks & drinks & a small gift shop. Plenty of parking. Definitely worth bringing the kids to or just going adults. Staff was friendly.

This place was wonderful! I started my experience with a 15 minute 3-D movie on the life cycles of the Monarch Butterfly, then enjoyed collections of butterflies and other insects. The outside greenhouse was filled with many different butterflies and beautiful flowers. They also had a small aquarium, which included a small shark and some rays and another section of reptiles and amphibians, including a caman. I spent about 1 1/2 hours.

Truly a wonderland - visiting this butterfly garden is a wonderful experience that fills you with peace and joy. There's something so serene and exhilarating to be amidst these little flitting gorgeous creatures. The butterflies are not shy, they come out and grace the visitors with their presence by landing on the oddest places - making for lovely pictures. You can admire the beauty and diversity of these delicate insects, and learn about their life cycle and habitats. At this butterfly garden I felt connected with nature and really felt at peace.

Beautiful space for the butterflies. Well-kept and knowledgeable staff in every area. The 3D movie, before entering the Chrysalis room, added so much more depth to the experience. We will visit again!
Angela V — Google review
Great place to view and learn about butterflies. The 3D video was entertaining and informative but hard to enjoy with all the screaming kids in the theatre. Not the venue's fault - that's all on the parents - but this sort of disrespect continued into the atrium where young people were running around yelling and actually touching the butterflies (not allowed or good for the butterflies!). The exhibits were very interesting - lots of reptiles, insects, fish, a few stingrays and a shark that seem to be well-cared for. The atrium is wonderful - lots of butterflies to enjoy and although they keep it around 85 and humid, it's not at all uncomfortable and is well-ventilated. The release on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. is a little anticlimactic so I wouldn't schedule your visit around that, but it was enjoyable and educational. Cafe was nice for a snack and the gift shop was great for kids' items. Perhaps the venue could enforce the "BEE respectful" signs that are posted throughout.

Beautiful, peaceful spot for nature during the heat of the summer. It is humid in the butterfly atrium but you can take a break in the cafe and go back for more butterflies if desired. We also really appreciated that their were a few other things to see...birds, fish, reptiles, and insects. Very family / kid friendly also. And the monarch video is super educational and interesting. Thank you, we had a lovely visit.

Nice little trip for the family! When it’s way too hot to do anything and you’re looking for a family friendly activity, Butterfly Wonderland is the perfect place to spend an hour or 2. It’s not too expansive or too much walking. Has some reptiles and sea-life, and there is even a small cafe to grab a snack or coffee. The walk through butterfly area where they can land on you is the best!

Our flight was cancelled, and we were so bummed. What could we do for the next 8 hours while we waited for another flight? The answer was Butterfly Wonderland! We were so stressed about the change in travel plans and decided to go and check this place out. Let me tell you I learned so much about butterflies and I have never felt so calm and serene in my life. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Having to explain the same thing every day can lead folks to become robotic- but these people truly love what they do, and it shows. We spent two hours wandering around the beautiful garden filled with the most amazing and majestic butterflies. I can't tell you how relaxing and happy it makes you just to have them flying around you. And if you get a "butterfly kiss" well you feel blessed by mother nature herself. Enjoy this place, take your time. Most tranquil.

We chose to go early on a Sunday. Still pretty packed. I highly suggest buying your tickets online to save time. We did not watch the video that they show before you go into the exhibit. It was a beautiful experience and to be able to have the butterflies land on you was perfect! It is very humid in there so bring water. There is a reptile exhibit and a small aquarium as well! We did try the cafe inside and the pretzel and slushy was so good and refreshing!

They had us watch a short movie about Monarchs which was interesting before taking us to an area to talk about the butterflies and moths. Small, but an amazing place to see butterflies. Bought tickets at the door.We waited just a few minutes to watch the 3D movie, but there was art to look at so it didn't seem that long of a wait. There are well informed volunteers and employees who answered questions about the butterflies and the transformation process. There's a great snack shop and a mini reptile area and mini aquarium. It's the Perfect size of a space for littles to explore the animals, with minimal walking.

This is a lovely place to see numerous species of beautiful butterflies in person! It is a wonderful interactive opportunity to see butterflies amongst luscious plants and pretty scenery. They also have a very informative 3D movie about the monarch butterfly migration that is awesome. A great place for all ages to enjoy!

Magical, peaceful experience.I love how we got information about the Flight of the Monarch in a 3D film, saw the chrysalises, and then got to experience the butterflies. We had no problem seeing many different varieties, and several landed on our bright clothing giving us a closer view. We saw 2 different varieties mating — something we could identify after having seen the 3D film. There were benches to sit on and enjoy the sound of water and the gentle music as the butterflies floated around. We also got to watch honey bees at work and an apiarist was right there and able to answer our questions. Many of the trees, bushes and flowers were labeled. My one daughter and I stayed with the butterflies for quite a bit even after the rest of our party left. It was nice to just relax and watch. Was it worth the price? If you spend the time to read the information and sit and enjoy it, yes. What would make it even better was if a worker had a q-tip soaked in nectar and allowed children to “catch” a butterfly on a stick for a closer view. I’ve been at another butterfly house that did that and it was magical for the little ones!

It was so fun to bring our kids here. We first walked into a room with butterfly pupa watching windows. Very cool to watch and ask questions about as we waited for our group to be allowed in.We walked into the large greenhouse. The benches made it look like you had butterfly wings for the perfect picture and you can sit and enjoy the large koi pond. There are multiple paths to take with butterflies constantly fluttering about. There are other little surprises around as well. Different lizard exhibits and bees to watch through glass.

Absolutely loved this place. I spent an hour just watching the butterflies and trying to get them to land on my hand. They have a few other tiny exhibits but the big attraction is the butterflies! You'll get to watch a 14 min butterfly documentary. It's 3D and was enjoyable to watch. Next they will let you in the room where the butterflies hatch out of their actions. I got to watch a few and it was super neat. After that, you will be able to go into the butterfly observatory. You can bring your kids, but if your littles are a little wild, the poor butterflies do freak out. Warning, it's very humid and hot inside.

This was absolutely amazing! It's worth the money, especially if it's a slow day and there are less people. Butterflies will land on you, and there are some amazing photo opportunities.BE AWARE WHERE YOU WALK!!! We saw a couple people step on butterflies that landed on the ground.I had a wonderful time. I use a cane and it was easy for me to maneuver around where I needed to go. It was really hot and humid in the conservatory, but that wasn't a bother when you walk around and find the AC.I will definitely be going back if I can! The reptiles and fish were really cool to see as well.

Excellent experience. Thousands of butterflies flying freely. Many land on visitors for excellent photo opportunities. Beautifully landscaped butterfly enclosure. Interesting and informative 3D film about butterfly migration. Docents give informative talk about butterflies and moths. Additional displays about bees, tropical waters and reptiles. Many school children there on school trip but their enthusiasm was only an asset to the experience.

Our family had a great time here. I do recall there being many more butterflies a couple years back. They used to be everywhere, landing on people's backs, the air filled, not this time. We still got to see them. It seems they keep the place a lot warmer than I remember. All of the staff was super pleasant.

Butterfly Wonderland is a delightful experience! I really enjoyed the 14-minute 3D movie—it was both informative and entertaining. The butterfly exhibit is mesmerizing, with so many butterflies that you could easily spend hours admiring them.Though the space is relatively small, there’s still plenty to see, including some fascinating reptile displays and even a small aquarium. It’s a wonderful place to explore and learn. Highly recommended for a fun and educational outing!

Fountain Park is a 64-acre town park in Fountain Hills, Arizona, featuring a stunning man-made 28-acre lake with an iconic fountain at its center. The fountain, one of the world's tallest, shoots water up to 560 feet into the sky and is visible from miles around. This landmark has been attracting visitors since its activation in 1970. The park offers various amenities such as an 18-hole disc golf course, playgrounds, and picnic areas.
This is one of my favorite park in Arizona, the people here are so nice and kind, and the fountain the top it off. My Autistic girl love it here, and there are nice restaurants nearby that you can have an all day fun weekend with your family. There are so many ducks here, sometime they leave eggs on the grass so watch out for the eggs. The park hosts a variety of culture events too, the last time we were here there were like 1000 or more Indian people here. Is a great experience for my family since I always wanted to travel to India but never did.

There is play area for kids, barbecues and sitting area. You can walk around the lake. Every hour you can enjoy the biggest fountain you would have ever seen. Plenty of free parking.

We came here for the St. Patrick's Day celebration, and have visited many times during other parts of the year. Very nice, green grass, a walking path around the lake, and the famous fountain are there to enjoy.

At the Concours Car Show today! What an unbelievable day! Probably 20 food trucks here and more cars than you can shake a stick at. Sun is shining and it all benefits the Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund with donations welcomed.

Great place to take the family, have a picnic, walk around and relax with a good book. Very clean and peaceful. Love seeing the fountain and the mountains in the back ground.

It's a great park in the center of Fountain Hills. A nice concrete walking path around the lake and has a large fountain. There are multiple washrooms with water stations, a playground, and a disc golf course. There is lots of free parking and a Veterans Memorial. There is also an art wall done by local painters. It is very clean and well maintained.

We saw this from far far far away while driving highway 88 so we decided to find this. Nice park. The fountain is every hour from 9am to 9pm. Plenty of parking in various parts of the park. Worth visiting.

Loved the grounds and the park. Unfortunately the wind was too strong to have the fountain active, but we've seen it on EarthCam and used our imagination on what it would had looked like.

Absolutely beautiful park, great splash pad nice kids. Older locals didn't seem to fond of the kids but whatever maybe they forgot what it was like to be young. Park is a 10 in the fun scale for little ones.

I LOVE this park! It was on my bucket list for years and it delivered. I take shelter dogs on day fosters and this is a great park. There is so much green grass and the fountain is beautiful! The yogurt shop nearby is great too! They also have water stations with dog fountains in case you forget. Lots of big shady trees. There is even a creek where your dogs can cool their paws. 10/10 Highly recommend!

Barleens Dinner Show, located in Arizona, is a family-run business that offers an unforgettable night of entertainment and dining. The establishment opens from November through April and caters to senior individuals. With efficient service for a meal that includes beef, potatoes, carrots, and salad, the venue can accommodate close to 400 people. The talented musicians provide captivating performances with clean humor in a variety show. The reasonably priced drinks add value to the experience.
We went as a group to Barleens, we got there at 5pm, dinner is served at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. Everything goes smoothly, you get plenty to eat and drink. Waitresses are plenty and attentive. The show appeals to all adult interests from Satchmo(Louis Armstrong), country classics and contemporary music, ends with an emotional tribute to our country. It’s a class act and I can’t wait to return.

The show was fantastic, the audience quite wise in years. Went for a birthday for a wise friend. The food however is another story. I don't think anything was prepared in-house, except the chocolate cake which really was the best part. Way too much sodium content for someone with kidney issues. I would recommend this place for a great time and a cocktail or two before dinner.

Went to Barleens last night for my birthday and key points to hit on is announcements were said at half time saying happy birthday to people in the audience 69, 73, 80 and me 28 now I thought maybe I'm in the wrong place? But as the food was served and the music played I knew my mama raised me right with hearing the variety show and knowing most the tunes. It was highly enjoyableAnother thing I noticed is as they asked whose first time it was only me and my family really cheered so they are packed with regulars who love their food and music!!! what a wonderful night I had and will be recommending more northern arizona family to make their way over. The last two songs honored our military and our country at the end of the night it was a nice send off.

I would say I’m not Barleens’ target demographic by age - but what a fun evening! They put on an amazing show and the talent of all the musicians is remarkable. We went with relatives and I was prepared for an “entertaining” evening, but the whole experience is great. Would recommend to any one of any age.

We went to their 50s-60s show and it was outstanding. A wonderful family oriented show. Food was served (versus Silverstar's buffet) and was excellent. During the 20 min break they offered root beer floats and 6 types of ice cream. The show itself was a full 3 hours (minus 20 min break). It was soooo good. Music was outstanding. Singing was great and they also had comedy and Barney Fife!! We will come again for a different show!

Reservations required and strongly advise to get tickets at least 2 months in advance. Go on website for different themes. The holiday show send it fast . A favorite for Large groups. The entertainment is fantastic,,a lot of talent and special guests. Dinner very good, set menu. Of pot roast, mashed potato, green beans, salad, roll and also provided a pork rib, generous portion and/or chicken that was very tender. Food was delicious.

Great show but it gets a little repetitive if you go more than once. They do an amazing job of serving around 1,000 people quickly due to their amazing organizational skills and quick team. Food is good! Well worth the $50.

Food is good but not fancy. Service is excellent. Show very entertaining, they have updated the music since our last visit, it’s designed for an older crowd. Musicians are very talented. Some of the singers did a really good version others were okay but not great. All in all a fun place to spend an evening.

Rick and Roll was an exceptional production. All of the voices are so excellent, the comedy was fun, and we really enjoyed the choice of songs. My husband and I joined a group tour to this dinner theatre and found the show to be phenomenal. The entertainment was first class and the talent was unparalleled. The pot roast meal, also, was very tasty. We can’t wait to go again at Christmas!

The food was very good, the service was superior, and the show was over the top. The entertainers have more talent in their fingers than I have in my whole body! They are personal and friendly and they all work to service the customers, which is becoming a thing of the past. This is definitely a must when in the neighborhood!

Looking for a good meal and great entertainment for a reasonable price? This is it. The meal and show was $51, a bargain. My wife and I went there last night (1-6-2024) and the whole experience was great. The wait staff (who also is the entertainment people) was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. We had roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, and a salad. And cake for desert. The show is hosted by the Barleen family, and they are very talented. Along with them, a bunch of other entertainers, all with a history in the music business. The show we saw highlighted songs from the mid 50's to the mid-80's. Each performer had a chance to solo and show their skills. I wish their web site had a showcase for the performers- I can't recall their names, but they all had mad skills. One of the top guys held notes incredibly long.All-in-all, highly recommended.

We attended the Saturday matinee show and it was very good! We've attended the last few years and would rate it 3.5-4 stars in the past. But being in our early 50's, they have added more recent music genres that relate to our taste. Like the Eagles, Jimmy Buffett & Janis Joplin. The musical talent is very impressive and the comedy is great! Very enjoyable & prices are reasonable. We will be back and we highly recommend this show.

Took my 83 year old mother there for her birthday. Easy access to the facility from the highway. Caters to senior individuals. Meal of beef, potatoes, carrots, and salad was served in an efficient manner. Pretty good when the place holds close to 400 people. Musicians extremely talented and a master at their craft. A variety show that has clean funny humor. Definitely a family run business. Drinks were extremely reasonably priced. It was well worth the $50/person that we spent for a meal and show.

Barleens is absolutely most definitely not from anyone under the age of 60 (or at least 55). We went with my 70+ in-laws and their siblings who enjoyed it but also found the show to be long and loud and the food underwhelming. My family (ages 40, 35, 14, 8, and 1) were all bored out of our minds. The show was not bad, just not for our age group. And the food was definitely all "softer texture" nursing home cafeteria style food. Even the parking lot smells like urine.I am sure the show is enjoyable for an older crowd but please (I beg you please) don't join grandma and grandpa for this dinner show.

Luxe accommodations in a premium resort in the desert, plus a 27-hole golf course, a spa & dining.
We went to the Ritz Carlton in Dove Mountain near Tucson for a staycation for Labor Day weekend and this was the perfect weekend getaway trip. This property is surrounded by a beautiful mountain that has many amenities on the property. We were greeted by Summer (front desk receptionist) and she was very helpful in accommodating us with a room upgrade with our Marriott titanium elite status. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and we were always greeted by many friendly staff, who took the time to go the extra mile to make our weekend getaway very special. The resort pool here is one of the most popular features and absolutely worth checking out, but there are many trails (you can use bikes too) and plenty outdoor activities that are family friendly. One of our favorite features of this property is the Ritz Carlton spa, which is the only five star spa in a five star Ritz Carlton property in the United States. We spent all day at the spa, and it was completely worth the experience! They even have a private saltwater pool for spa guests which is incredible. The restaurants here are also fantastic and you can’t go wrong with any of the food options. Overall, we were very impressed with this property and will definitely be coming back here in the future!

We only stayed for one night to sample around this area for our future trips. We had a good time, the room and resort area are well appointed and with friendly and enthusiastic staff. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, although I'd prefer more local offerings and specialties, sourced from nearby farms and ranches. I don't plan on eating seafood in the desert...However, I should point out that they had taken away the complementary self parking option... I understand it's pretty standard in most luxury properties, especially when it's space/traffic constrained but this hotel is in the middle of a literal desert, dealing with the valet every time I want to head out for a bit can be an inconvenience for me and I felt being "nickle and dimed" a little bit, especially since they are already charging a hefty resort fee. Options are always welcome.

While the grounds are beautiful, unfortunately the service at this hotel does not match the 5 star rating. Upon entering the room, there was a welcome note left for a different customer. Additionally, the bathroom had not been cleaned, and there was a large wad of hair on the shower. I returned to the front desk, handing over the welcome note intended for another patron, and also informed him of the uncleaned bathroom. There was no apology, or sense of concern. I asked for housekeeping to clean our bathroom while we were at dinner. Upon returning to our room two hours later, the hair was still in the shower.Additionally, when we checked in, the receptionist wrongly informed us that the sunset and night guided hikes were complimentary for guests. Because of this we decided to join the guided tour that evening. When we later found out there was a charge, we went back to the receptionist to clarify if there was a charge or not. She continued to be perplexed as to whether it was complimentary, and had to ask another staff member. She realized she was incorrect, and said she would comp both a sunset hike and night hike due to her error. When I checked out, both hikes were removed from the final bill and I have the receipt showing this. However, a charge for one of the hikes was added back on after I checked out. I am still perplexed how this happened - perhaps the receptionist was nervous about getting in trouble and changed the bill after I departed. I called to argue the charge, and received horrible treatment by another staff member, Gina. I was taken aback by a Ritz employee arguing with me about a situation she had no knowledge of. I emailed her the final receipt showing neither hike was included in the bill at check out, but never heard back. I had to call again, speak to another staff member, who informed me that Gina said flatly that I was incorrect. This staff member finally grew weary and comped the charge, but this entire situation was disturbingly unprofessional, incompetent, and ensures I will never return.

Of all the Ritz locations I’ve been too, this location is top three! So good, we’ve been back twice from the east coast! The rooms were very nice, clean and well cared for. The staff is top tier and even accommodated delivering a whole case of water to our room. We loved both pools and the poolside drinks. Core kitchen is absolutely amazing. Great food. Once again, a “visitor” in our own home town and we had to try the Ritz Carlton. It’s the only Ritz in Arizona, located in the beautiful Dove Mountains. Giving the feeling of being nestled safely in the mountains. For those who come here to visit for the desert experience this hotel certainly will not disappoint. They provide desert featured activities, beautiful pools that cater to both family and couples and have a handful of restaurants on site that feature local cuisine. Additionally they provide an endless amount of water and have a turndown service. For those looking for a 5 star experience, this place will not disappoint you.Service is top

I come to Tucson frequently to visit my daughter and the Loews Ventana is one of my favorite places to vacation as compared to Ritz Dove Mountain. (And would be even if they were the same price though Lowe’s is half the Ritz and doesn’t soak you on every thing you do. The both are located in a breathtaking mountain dessert setting, with trails, cactus and gorgeous spots to sit down and savior the beauty. Loews is more informal and the staff local and fun. The Ritz staff are all from abroad and impeccably trained in their specific function. There are so many things to explore on your own in the Loews Canyon. The Ritz staff try to keep you dressing correctly and following the rules.

We had an amazing stay for the 4th of the July. The entire staff was absolutely amazing! We felt right at home. There is so much to do with families but tucked away in different parts of the hotel that the resort still felt quiet and relaxed. We enrolled our kids into the Dove Mountain Ranger experience only after meeting sweet Breainna at the movie night. What an absolutely amazing experience for our children. She is the most lovely person to be around that both our boys were sad to leave. We will definitely be booking another stay here soon and reserving another Ranger activity with her.Overall an amazing stay!! We‘ll be coming back soon.

This is a beautiful hotel! Get ready to relax among wonderful views. The staff was over the top amazing and went above and beyond for our 4 year old son. The room was very nice. We spent our wedding anniversary here and everyone was just excellent. Core was very good for breakfast and dinner and the weekend sushi was great. We enjoyed round of golf (tough course!!) and really enjoyed time by the pool. The water slide is a huge hit if you have kids. We only left property for a hot air balloon ride and that was also great. Highly recommend this location!

What a beautiful property nestled in Dove mountain. You overlook the beautiful large cactus with a gorgeous golf course. The fire pit outside is perfect to enjoy the cool evenings. We loved loved the food and service tried two restaurants one at the golf course and the other near the lobby. Spacious rooms with balcony overlooking the mountain. They have a beautiful pool with a slide and a large hot tub. Service at pool side was excellent and cocktails and food were amazing as well.

Did a staycation for a day pass for the pool. Only giving 4 stars (would have done 5) since there is not rinse off showers at the resort, water slide area slightly shallow, women’s restrooms don’t have seat covers, and feminine products in case. These little things as a Marriott member as well makes a difference. Also wish they had better signs for guest parking etc as well. Especially at a “5 star resort”Service and food is wonderful on the other hand. Beautiful place nested within Tucson that really connects with nature.

Had dinner here last week and got a RC was less than impressed. Good food but I thought that for $39 you would get more than 2 scallops wine selection was okay but again way over priced. When we ordered an after drink to be heated had to send it back and microwaved. Just not any of us were that excited about. We don't think we will return .

We have been here for several days and love this resort. The food is amazing and the resort beams with wildlife. We have had so much fun and enjoyed everything about it! Thank you for an amazing time!Things that are odd and not up to brands standards. We have been staying on the 4th floor. I have noticed that dishes and trash are left outside of people’s rooms for long periods of time. Like all day and night. Nuts are lying all over the hallway and have yet to be cleaned up. These were there all week. That’s normal for a Westin resort. Not the Ritz. Other than that. Awesome!

My main complaint was "morning coffee". Most nice hotels provide complementary coffee early in the morning. Here they charge $8.61 for a cup of plain coffee. Just made me uncomfortable with my entire stay. Somehow beyond extravagant. And not in a good way. Maybe the term is "sucker" pricing. And the $60 a day for resort fees and $40 for parking (no self park option) adds to the insult. I won't be returning.

I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent stay at your property. As a loyal Marriott Ambassador, I have always held Ritz Carlton properties in high regard, so I was quite surprised by a few aspects of my experience.Upon check-in, while we did not request an upgrade, our room was not ready, and we were offered an upgrade to a suite for an additional $400 per night. While I understand that upgrades are not always guaranteed, I was surprised that a complimentary upgrade wasn’t offered given the availability and my Ambassador status. I also inquired about access to a club level, only to learn that this particular property does not offer one, which I found quite surprising for a Ritz Carlton.Additionally, I was eager to explore the area and asked the front desk for trail maps, only to be told that they no longer provide them. I was advised to download a third-party app like AllTrails, which comes at an additional cost. With a $40 resort fee in place, I would have expected such information to be readily available and easily accessible, perhaps even through the Bonvoy app. While the surrounding area is beautiful, I regret to say that this experience was not in line with the high standards I’ve come to expect from Ritz Carlton properties. In fact, I found the overall experience more comparable to a typical Marriott, rather than what I associate with the luxury of the Ritz Carlton brand.Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I hope that future guests can enjoy an experience more in line with the brand’s esteemed reputation.

Went here on a road trip from Scottsdale with two other families for a long weekend. Setting is amazing but property is a little dated. Feels more like a nice Marriott than a Ritz.Food was good but expensive, drinks were extremely weak and expensive. It also feels like they try to nickel and dime you to death. Friends’ kids ordered a plate of five cookies from the coffee bar - $70. Our kids wanted to get s’more’s after dinner - $30 for each. Orange juice at the coffee bar - $17. We stay at five star properties often and would expect more from a place like this.Overall the kids had fun at the pool with their friends, but zero chance we’re coming back.

We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain for a birthday weekend, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service began. The security agent at the entrance greeted us warmly and immediately knew it was my boyfriend's birthday, setting a celebratory tone for our stay.Upon check-in, the valet team quickly greeted us and helped with our luggage, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to our weekend. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne, and to our delight, we received a room upgrade, which was an unexpected and wonderful surprise. The biggest surprise was when we got to the room and they had a cake made for him and cupcakes! Our first evening was highlighted by a fantastic dinner. We enjoyed perfectly cooked steak and fries, accompanied by a complimentary bottle of wine, which made the meal even more special. The restaurant's ambiance and the attentive service added to the overall excellent dining experience. The following day, we spent relaxing by the pool, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. The complimentary paletas were a delightful touch that made our poolside time even more enjoyable. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was attentive, kind, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and pampered. Special shoutout to Michelle Sun!This weekend at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain was exactly the relaxation we needed. We can't begin to express how amazing the experience was, and we highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway. Thank you to the entire team for making this birthday celebration unforgettable!

I can't say enough about how courteous and helpful everyone is at the Ritz...Come check it out!!!! Tou won't regret spending the money...

The views are incredible of the nearby mountains and the domes and glass buildings. The staff are very helpful at getting you started and pointing you in the right direction. The arrows are easy to follow and recognizable. We enjoyed watching the videos from the app that are very educational and helpful. My grandma enjoyed that they made the areas more accessible when they could, offering ramps when possible. Inside was absolutely gorgeous and incredible! It was like being next to the real thing! I took my 14yo. son during fall break, and we had an excellent time. This is a self guided tour using a cell phone app and headphones. It's indoor and outdoor. About 50/50. I recommend going during the cooler months and still bring sunblock, water, hat.Make sure you review the website for all the details.

What an amazing place to visit and learn! There is ample parking - both on pavement and gravel. The area is well marked so you easily know where to go.Front desk staff are extremely helpful and excited to answer questions and assist. The tour is self guided with an app to download. It helps if you download it before you go.Each stop has a number linked to the app that explains what you are seeing and gives a history of that particular point of interest. You follow red arrows on the ground to guide you to the next point of interestThe tour is approximately 90 minutes depending how fast or slow you go. It takes you inside and outside, so make sure you take water as some areas (rainforest) are hot and humid. There is a gift shop at the entrance where you can purchase water, etc for reasonable prices. There are restrooms and water bottle filling stations along the way. A theatre plays an historic reel about Biosphere 2 which is worth watching! The views here are gorgeous. I highly recommend visiting the Biosphere 2 and experience what it represents. This was an adventure!!

We've returned for another visit. It's a place where each new visit reveals something new and interesting. This time, we toured the south 'Lung.' It was very interesting and worthy of the small additional fee.

It's a neat place to explore and very educational. For the most part, it was accessible until my husband needed the use of their chair lift. It had not been maintained, and when it malfunctioned, they had no clue where the manual hand crank was. They finally came up with a makeshift ramp and were lucky his chair could recline back to clear the safety car, or we'd still be there. They apologized profusely and refunded our tickets for the trouble. We hope they were able to fix it.

Was fun to see it in person, would like to have had access to more of it, like a bedroom and the library. It was fascinating to imagine spending 2 years locked inside! The designs of the buildings were very interesting, and the different habitats were pretty and had lots of information about them through the app. I really liked going at our own pace with earbuds listening to our phones instead of having a live guide.

The pioneering Biosphere 2 experiment was introduced in our textbooks. Even today, I still regret that the project had to be prematurely ended after two years of fully self-contained ecosystem operation. It was a remarkable endeavor and a great attempt to explore manmade ecological systems.

Although they don't have an Arctic habitat, this is a very, very fun place to visit, you can really get your daily step count in here. The ability to tour different types of habitats that are indicative of the plant makeup of our planet is something to behold, (going to the Amazon rainforest without a passport, or insect bites. AWESOME!) I would definitely come back to this place when I come back to Arizona.

Visiting Biosphere 2 was an eye-opening experience! I was completely unaware of its existence until recently, and I'm so glad I discovered it. The way the different biomes are intertwined is truly impressive, showcasing both the technology and ingenuity behind this incredible project. Learning that people actually lived there for two years is absolutely stunning—it speaks volumes about human innovation and adaptability. The audio tour was a highlight for me; being able to explore at my own pace and delve into the various initiatives behind Biosphere 2 added a whole new layer of appreciation. It's both educational and entertaining, making it a perfect outing for anyone interested in science, sustainability, or just looking for a unique and fascinating experience. I also had no idea that part of biodome was in fact filmed there... according to IMDb.

Very informative and interesting place to visit. Get the app for a self guilded tour when the tickets are purchased. Stops are well marked. Very helpful following the red arrows in and blue arrows out. Bring a water bottle. Did the extra tour in the library upstairs vs. the basement for 12. Was worth it.

Overall I enjoyed this experience. I think a guided tour on a weekend would definitely a bit more thorough. I still enjoyed the self guided. I think I expected a bit more of a historical site than a modern lab. It definitely had both though. Definitely a unique and fun experience.

Decided to make a last minute stop to Biosphere 2 while on a trip in AZ and I’m so glad we did. It was fascinating learning about the biosphere. I enjoyed walking through the rainforest and seeing plants I wouldn’t otherwise be able to see. Would recommend visiting at least once in your life!

To answer the inevitable question, Biosphere 1 is the earth itself. Don't feel bad. I asked the same question.I went here with a a friend. We both enjoyed our visit.First we watched a video about the Biosphere 2. Then we went on a guided tour. I will always choose a guided tour if given the option. I just learn more that way. There were other people on the guided tour. One family, I'm sure they were space aliens. There clothes, their questions, their mannerisms were just a little...off. I guess they were trying to understand Earth and thought they'd gain some knowledge at Biosphere 2.

Absolutely remarkable in every way! The History! The architecture! The horticulture and simulated environments! The complex series of systems they’ve engineered to run the place! This is place is seriously a marvel, and a monumentally ambitious project. It is absolutely due for a renaissance, and deserves so much more public support & funding than it’s currently getting. While it’s a bit of a drive, I promise you that It’s worth it.

Very good museum. It's a testament to the ingenuity of this country for sure. I was somewhat disappointed that there's not more going on and we couldn't examine more of the mechanical and engineering feats contained therein. I recommend and will return

A fun experience and worth the visit. We only did the self guided tour. But the other tours would be worth it is a bit cheaper. I'd go for the lung tour if/when I returned. The self guided app was slow and glitchy at times, but not unusable. Reading the journal entries of the participants was an awesome touch to the exhibits

Had a wonderful time learning about biosphere 2 and seeing the facility. It’s a great lesson and wonderful to see the ecosystems. The guided tour in the app is easy to follow and give great nuggets of information.

WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE!!!We visited in 2016 when we moved our son to Tucson for a PhD program at UA. Eight years later he's graduating, so we returned to "bookend" his life in Tucson, before he returns to the Midwest. This place has impressed me with each visit.During the 1980's I followed the idea for and construction of this unique facility. In the 1990's I followed the usage of the site during the early experiments. When our son chose UA for his PhD program and I realized how close he was to Biosphere 2, I decided that we HAD to experience the place in person. I'm still in awe of the facility and all the research and knowledge generation that goes on here. VERY IMPRESSIVE.During our first tour, it was guided by an "in person" tour guide, and we were able to visit areas like "The Lungs" (which was cool to experience) as well as the pressurized airlock entries. This visit was self-guided with a phone app that described each number stop along the route. Although we did not see and experience some of the same things as the first visit, this one felt more informative. The phone app descriptions were very thorough and educational, plus they can be replayed at home while looking through pictures. The information is forever readily available. This tour also gives a better story of the life of the biospherians of the 1990's. It piqued my interest enough that I bought a book in the gift shop to learn more about their experiment and experiences. The gift shop is next to the check in, so it is available to anyone who stops by (you don't need to pay for a tour to shop). It is full of all kinds of fun and education items, as well as drinks and snacks. Maybe pick up a drink and some snacks before the tour, as the tour lasts about 2 hours and can be very hot, especially in the summer months. You will get thirsty, and possibly hungry before the end of the tour. The restaurant that was once available at the end of the tour in 2016, and a very welcome respite, is no longer open. I would suggest packing a picnic lunch and some drinks in a cooler to keep in the car while you tour. You will be ready for some kind of refreshment afterwards, especially if you are like us and stop to listen to all the audio messages AND read all the signs posted throughout the site. (Biosphere 2 is about 30 minutes north of Tucson, so not real close to any restaurants.)This is truly a gem in the desert and should be included in every visit to the Tucson area.

Came out here as a part of a weekend visit from Phoenix. Interesting and very cool place to see. Several of the sights were closed but we still enjoyed the tour. I would suggest calling and asking about the availability of the sights to see as it wasn’t mentioned on the website which if any would be closed.

I did the self-guided tour and was honestly a little disappointed considering the cost and how little you actually get to see. This tour didn't include the "lungs" facility, the library, the apartments, the control center, power plant, or the hydroponic facility. Some of these had videos you could watch on the app, but I'd have rather experienced them first-hand. Relying on pre-recorded videos in an app is not a very engaging way to learn about such a unique facility, in my opinion.

We loved the Biosphere 2!! It is totally worth the walking tour!! It's fascinating. Taken over by University of AZ in July of 2011 for ecological research. They have created the largest enclosed ocean with waves and everything. Rainforest was incredible!

This huge park offers camping and trails, as well as archery and shooting ranges. The park is located just to the west of the city, and its scenic overlooks are popular with photographers. The range of activities available at Tucson Mountain Park makes it a great place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
There’s so many hiking opportunities you can’t go wrong at Mountain Park! Gates Pass trails are some of my favorites I’ve climbed all the ridges and peaks! Had some spicy climbs where I really should’ve had ropes and gloves and a spotter lol but I’m a very avid hiker and after climbing Humphreys in Flag I’m not scared easily.I just can’t believe some of the footwear I’ve seen people hiking with 😂 including slides I mean are you looking to meet God faster😂😂😂😂If you’re going to hike, please consider hiking shoes that have treads and keep your ankle stable or keep fckn around so you can find out 👉🤣☠️👈

Tucson is just a beautiful city. This and the drive up Mount Lemmon is one of my favorite scenic drives in the city. Tucson Mountain Park to Saguaro is just a sight to behold.

Desert beauty all around. Some good hikes. Lots of saguaro. Good both day and night. Clear night skies. Lots of stars. Several pull out areas to park. Pretty drive.

Just an hour and some change from home is the beautiful Tucson Mountain Park, right alongside scenic and majestic Saguaro National Park. The saguaros seem to never end. I love that the crowds are lighter than where I live and the trails are definitely cleaner. Exploring is the name of the game and it's neverending in this area.Monsoon '21 has brought so much green to the desert, it's such a sight to behold!Gates Pass Road is a delightful drive, as well, with so many views.

Beautiful vistas greet you as you drive through Gates Pass route. You may want to take another route if you are towing a camper, planning a stay at Gilbert Ray campground within the park.

Beautiful drive over Gates pass to one the greatest wonders of nature. The saguaro cactus! Rugged mountain terrain, the Sonoran desert is a truly amazing place!

The Tucson Mountain Park is fantastic and the Gilbert Ray Campground is our favorite in the Tucson area. The sites are large and spaced fairly well apart. The hosts are very pleasant and keep everything in the campground clean and neat. In addition, there is a seemingly endless number of trails for hiking and biking.

Very cool place to visit. A huge park with tons of hiking trails. The trails are mostly easy but you have to watch your step and avoid the cacti. Lots of loose gravel & rocks you have to watch out for. There are so many varieties of cacti.Be careful of the Jumping Cholla that are on the sides of the trails and on the trails, they can stick on your shoes or clothes.

Excellent location and trails within this county park are awesome. $20 for electric site. No showers but flushing restrooms. Great staff, lots of wildlife. Next door to Saguaro National park and Desert Museum.

Soooo many trails that link all the way through Tucson. The park butts right up to Saguaro National Park West so the amount of saguaro in here are phenomenal. I love the way they climb all the way up and down the mountains. Teddy bear Choya are incredible in there too. Saw very few people.

I felt surrounded by the dessert. The sites were far enough apart that I did not feel like I was ontop of my neighbor. I spent two nights here but could spend more. I will definitely be back.

Nice trails. No information on what the Tucson Mountains are. Hiking in a large volcanic complex is different than the Catalina Mtns.

Gorgeous, clean and filled with easy hiking trails. My husband and I love to take our miniature schnoodle here for desert hikes, definitely have to put the puppy shoes on the dog though. There's lots of cactus and pokies near the trail. Also, absolutely stunning at sunset too!

This range has 12 shooting bays, and the furthest you can shoot is 100 yards. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. You are able to fire on 15-minute cycles, which allow you to go down range and make changes to your targets. It's really clean and inexpensive. 8 dollars is what each shooter above 16 is required to pay. Highly recommend this facility.

Beautiful space for pictures and meditation. We camped in our cars for 2 nights here and had wonderful sleep aside from one car going on a death cruise in the middle of the night at the speed of potential regret. There are porta potty areas in a few of the pull in areas. This is a natural area with wildlife.2 coyotes approached me.We all startled eachother and went our own ways, but it happened and now I'm writing about it on Google 🤷.
